Far to many car parking areas, making it difficult to determine if you are in the right one, also a very long way to drag your bag to the Terminal and even further to drag it back to the bus stance from the arrivals exit, as well as the 10 minute wait for the bus to take us back to the car. To be honest we would rather fly from any other Airport than Edinburgh! Sorry for the bad review.

Charging to drop off someone? It's not London! It's not city centre. And more if it takes more than 10 minutes? It shouldn't do, but if it does, it's probably due to the chaos and not the driver's fault. Rip-off. And if someone needs to go there to collect a hire-car, it should be easier and free to do so and for the dropper to be able to wait and meet the hire car so they can get to the next destination together. Sort it out.

I paid for tickets online before travelling. When I went to leave the car park. It told me I had £95 to pay. When I pressed the assist button, the man speaking had a horrific attitude.

i have used the on line booking service many times with great success this time i had problems with the initial booking and had to try several times before it accepted my booking and by then the price had gone up also at the exit gate the machine asked for another £160 for some reason it was resolved quickly by the attendant but in both cases it had never happened before

what I really struggle with is the fact that everytime I get to barrier and put in my ticket it tells me I owe a huge amount of money for my parking despite the fact that I have prepaid - I then have to try to find the reference number and hold everyone else up while discussing with person on end of intercom. It is a worry and I have lost confidence in the system this has happened 90% of time in last couple of months.

Had to walk a distance from departures to long stay pickup point. When we got to the bus stop that takes you back to longstay car park it was chaos people everywhere and pushing to get on. Bus was rammed so we had to wait for next one .Good job it wasn't raining as there is no shelter and we were told there were only two buses runnin. Wouldn't bother using again not organised system. Also got to the barrier to drive out and said we owed £100+ so had to wait for it to be verified. Never had this bother when using longstay at Newcastle or Manchester. Would not use again.

Easy to get out of with a good security set up. Unfortunately it is a dark, dingy, cramped, crowded mess to get out of when more than one flight arrives. There are NEVER enough customs officers on duty and the passport reading machines are a pathetic joke which virtually never work first time. If there were 25 instead of the measly 5 then it might make a difference. You can purchase a fast track exit which is just an excuse to rip off customers who are severely pissed off by the awful customs hall.

parked car for 10 days with a pre booked ticket, when I came to leave the machine displayed a cost of £370 to pay. Had to press help key with a queue behind me getting irate , sorted out at the help desk but it should not have happened. After long flight the last thing you need is trouble getting out of the airport when you have a 3hr drive infront of you

I used the Long-term car park behind the Hilton Hotel. The bus stop for the terminal is in a ridiculous place. It used to be close to the terminal building, now it is at the back of the multi-storey carpark, a considerably longer walk. On the way to the terminal myself and many others were confused by the change of entrance to the terminal building. If there was signage we didn't see it. On the return journey it was raining heavily and we got wet in the many open areas on the walk from the terminal to the bus. Why is there not more cover? The situation was made worse when we found that at the bus stop area there is no shelter whatsoever. I understand that space is tight but this is not acceptable.

I almost always have to have my reference number at the exit gate. As it normally states a unpaid ticket even when the correct Reg number was entered at time of booking. Had to wait 5mins at one time for the assistance call to be answered at gate! Only willing to put up with this for the savings

The new layout at the airport from arrival onwards means a lot more walking to get anywhere - not good. The car parking charges are disgracefully high especially in the nearby car parks - not good. The IKEA type pathway through duty free extends the walk to the gates - not good The approach roads to and from the airport are a disgrace for the main airport in a capital city - not good Overall the experience of using Edinburgh airport is just the same - not good

There is nothing worse than trying to leave Edingurgh airport at 10.30 pm and reach the barrier and it won t open ; you press the button and an " aggressive " voice ( always "aggressive " ) meets you at the other end . while the cars behind try and reverse out the lane behind you rummage around looking for the booking reference ; It happens at Glasgow as well

This is not a review, just to say that the last two occasions I have used the pre booking the barrier has not recognised my car. This has meant contacting the office both going in and returning and having to dig out the reference number. It would be helpful if the system could work reliably.

On arrival in the morning of our journey signage clear for us to see on entry to Edinburgh Airport and where we were to go to valet parking. The gent was great welcomed us and passed on the information reference what would happen with car . On return the gent was eating something as I entered the office. Passed key however no instructions on how we got out resulting in my vehicle sitting at a barrier for quite a while with us unsure of what was to happen. My husband attempted to reverse back to allow me to go back to office the gent appeared with a pass to open barrier then advised on how to leave. Again another problem leaving as at exit barrier we were left waiting for what seemed a considerable time due to "technical issues" quite frustrating when the whole process was to get in and out airport promptly . a bit disappointed at the end of our journey as we were tired and just wanted on our way . For the money we paid I doubt I would use the service again

Last three times we used the parking at the exit gate we were asked for a serious amount of money when we were prepaid we had to give the booking ref number then without an apology in any way we were let out I find this very annoying .

The cost of parking at Edinburgh is way out of line with other airports. As an example, 2 days parking booked a few days in advance at Newcastle Airport was £42.99, the same type at Edinburgh was quoted at £77.99. Ive had this before several times and the parking charges put me off using the airport. The facilities are great and the upgrades are excellent but those parking shouldn't be the ones getting caught out each time.

Exit gate did not accept my pre booking registration and wanted to charge an extortionate sum!!! At 1.00 am in the rain after a long and dalayed return having to go back to the ticket booth to contact office (I missed seeing the call button at the gate because of the rain and dark and tiredness) was very frustrating and feeling that I was going to be charged over £200 was not only heart stopping but very embarrassing in front of friends travelling with me.

Disappointing My booking was done ahead on the internet. On arrival I received my ticket but the gate did not open. I had to call for this to happen, by this time there were cars waiting behind me. On departure, even though I inserted the ticket correctly the gate again did not open as the ticket was not being recognised. Again I had to call for assistance this time having to give the booking reference.
