I stayed in the mid-term car park for 36 hours and was charged £52.99. Convenient, yes but far too expensive. Use the NCP car park down the road.

When we arrived at the car park we spoke to customer services to enquire if we were in the correct car park. The person we spoke to was very helpful but manually opened the barrier for us so we did not get a ticket. There was no space pre-booked for us with the result we had to tour the car park to get a space. There were cars parked on the road ways as there were insufficient car parking slots. I expected to automatically get a space as we had pre-payed. Luckily we found a parking place eventually but it took a considerable amount of time. On our exit several days later I again had to speak to customer services as we had no ticket. Unfortunately this time the person I spoke to was not so helpful and was really quite rude. I won't be booking to park my car there again; I will book with an alternative car park.

Booked multi-storey car park to save time. No space and has to park at Long stay car park. Could have missed the flight:( Install a software to prevent overbooking! It was very stressful just before the travel.

Booked parking online from 10am on 9th October to 2pm on 15th October. On arrival just after 10am we drove around the carpark looking for a space. There were none !!! The carpark was full with cars parked in the drop off zone and also at the side of the road ( ie not in marked bays ). After several circuits of the carpark we were heading for the Office to complain when we found a single space near the Portacabins which had no signage to indicate it was restricted, so we parked there. There did not appear to be any carpark staff around who could be approached for assistance by the many other drivers similarly inconvenienced by the lack of spaces. On our return on 15th October the carpark looked equally as congested as it was on our arrival. It would appear that the carpark was significantly over-booked. If I am to consider using the carpark again I would need to be assured that by booking in advance, I would be gauranteed a space.

Despite pre-booking , it was almost impossible to find a space. We ended up following people off the bus, thankfully we arrived in plenty time for our flight. Other customers had abandoned cars at the side of the road rather than wait for a space. I would advise allowing loads of extra time. We have used the Long Stay in the past with no bother but this time was a very poor experience.

Despite prepaying we were met with a demand for £335 when inserting the ticket to leave the car park. Our ticket had out vehicle registration which corresponded to our booking reference. Thankfully this was swiftly resolved however it was an unnessecary nuisance to end out holiday.

I had booked my car into the long stay carpark two weeks prior to my departure, when I arrived I was informed by a carpark employee that the carpark was full and that I should park at the mid stay car park instead. I was also informed that all the details would be sorted out when I was away. I was not really surprised that when I came back a week later it had not been sorted and when I used my ticket to exit I was unable to do so. I had to use the help button to speak to a car park employee and repeat my booking code at which point I was then allowed to exit the car park. If you say that a parking issue will be sorted out then do so, don't pass the problem back onto your customers.

Drove around for 45 mins looking for parking space untill finally double parking. Surely bookings should not be accepted when you know you are full to capacity

All car parks were full. Paid for the one closest to the airport as I was coming straight from work and knew I'd be in a rush. Car park full, same with all the tarmac car parks. Ended up in the long-stay area where people were just parked all over the roads because there were no spaces.

We were booked into the long term park for a week at a reasonable price. When we arrived at the barrier we had to contact someone for help. We were then told the park was full and were given instructions to go to the mid term park. That's fine but by this time there were 8 or 9 cars behind us in the queue and reversing out was not easy! We got into the mid term and parked OK. When returning from holiday we couldn't exit as there was a request to pay £240!! Again, your help button came to the rescue and away we went. The initial frustration and confusion at the long term entrance could have been avoided by placing a large notice before getting to the barrier. We were very calm at that point as we had arrived in plenty of time but there were a number of angry people behind us in the queue. Regarding our exit, with all of today's electronic controls I thought it would have been easy to have our details transferred to the mid stay? No problems with the car park itself. Hope the comments are helpful. Kind regards, Dougie

I struggled to find a space in the multi-storey car park, plus the top level was completely closed. I've never had cause to complain before.

Parking was prebooked for the long term car park from 6 th Oct to 14 th. Arrived to find we could not access long term parking and were directed to mid term parking , access not straight forward , booking confirmed through barrier intercom system access gained. On return to car park 8 days later at midnight (as booked) declined parking ticket at barrier requesting £245.00 parking fee. Again exit required through contact with barrier intercom system Fortunately we were able to access our booking reference without too much delay and exit proceeded. We did not expect these inconveniences especially arriving late into the airport and having been instructed by car staff to leave our car in the mid term parking lot. Disappointed customer.

Despite having reserved a space, upon arrival and driving around the car park it was clear that there were no spaces at all on any of the main floors. This included the "non-spaces" where people park at the end of rows etc. I had no choice but to go to the roof, which was blocked off at one area. When I came back to collect my car, I went to the roof and was approached by a staff member in his 4x4. He challenged why i was parked here, and showed quite a lot of attitude when I explained I had no choice. I was told I should not be there and "your car can't be here", before he drove off in a mood. If you book and pay for a space, a space should be available, and I staff should not be challenging customers.

Despite booking and pre-paying on-line, I could not find a parking place in the Long Stay car park, despite touring around all the bays for over 20 minutes. Nor could many others, judging by the number of cars parked in the 'aisles' and on pavements in the car park. This is what I also had to do. This left my car very vulnerable to being damaged by cars traveling through the car park all week. It is not what I paid for. The bus services are very good though. My car was fine upon my return, although there were still a great deal of other cars still parked on the road 'aisles' like mine. Upon trying to exit, my parking ticket requested overdue fees for £140.00 which is very annoying at 11 pm with a 3 hour drive before me still. And I had prepaid. Eventually, someone answered the help button and let me through after checking the details. Overall, this was a poor experience, with the car park clearly over-booked and the system not recognizing tickets which have been pre-paid. Shame, because previous experiences have been good.

Virtually every time I I pre pay in the short term you get asked to pay the full price on exit. I then have to press the contact button and explain I have pre paid. The barrier then opens with no apology or explanation. Also your web site does not give an easy option to log in so you have to enter all your details each time.

I'm a frequent traveller and I compare Edinburgh with plenty other airports in the world and it consistently fails to make the grade. Too much emphasis on extracting every last possible penny from passengers at the expense of getting people on and off planes efficiently. Too often we are left waiting for ground staff to find steps, when the planes arrival has been known about well beforehand. Why disallow the long stay parking shuttle bus from picking up at the terminal door ? Are you trying to force people into buying the more expensive surface parking ?
