“Having booked and pre paid for parking when I got to the exit gate tha machine told me I had to pat £530.00 excess!!!! If I had not taken my booking form with me to quote the reference number I have no idea what I would have done. The exact same happened to my son. How can thus happen with ANPR technology?”
“Parking was chaotic with cars abandoned on verges and over kerbs. Also paid in advance for 3 days parking which cost £39.99 then when trying to leave the machine tried to charge me £90+

“Disastrous trip to Edinburgh airport and it’s parking. Queued for 2 hours to get through security. Return flight was cancelled with no options to get back to EDI for several days. Spent several hundred pounds to get back via Glasgow. Picked up my car 14 hours late as a result and was charged another £30 to add insult to injury and considerable personal cost. Won’t be using Edinburgh Airport ever again.”
“The car parking was disappointing, the shuttle bus was not operating so we had to walk a considerable distance to the terminal on an uneven temporary pathway that was poorly signposted and had speed bumps at regular intervals. I wouldn't recommend the long stay car parking, it wasn't good value for money.”
“Very negative experience. I purchased a 4day stay for the Terminal Parking Area for £79.99. However on our return when attempting to leave the car park we were met with a £155 cost at the gates, as we were running late I simply payed this thinking its an error in the system and I'll just get this refunded. The days after I attempted countless times to get in contact with the airport parking support team, both through mobile phone and by emailing. I tried phoning multiple times throughout the days for about a week with the system always saying "no agents are available", they say to leave a voicemail which I did but did not get a response. My email also got completely ignored. So in general it seems like it's impossible to get in contact with the support team which is absolutely ludicrous... highly disappointed.”
“Very disappointed in Edinburgh Airport Long Stay Parking. Our flight was cancelled by the airline and rescheduled for the following day. This meant our car over-stayed and we were charged £40 for the privilege. You surely put your flight number on your booking for exactly this purpose?”
“Our flight was cancelled and we returned a day and a half late so we were charged £75, yes £ 75 for our troubles. Considering I had to fill in my flight details when booking I would have thought perhaps some leeway would be given. After all we weren't late on purpose.”
“I paid £35 pounds for midstay car park. I flew to Geneva for a long weekend but had a flight cancel on my return meaning I had to stay and extra day. When I got back to Edinburgh I find that I have been slapped with a £180 fee which the parking attendant brought down to £90 (which is still extorionate as my initial fee for parking was £35) I was also informed I was in the wrong car park and should have parked elsewhere however, I paid for mid-stay on the Edinburgh airport website and that is where I parked. The attendant said I should have been in private park? At no point did I buy this or even know it existed. Attendant was pleasant to deal with but the system is terrible and the fee’s for 1 full day over the initial booking were excessive. I have no issue paying for extra but fee like I was taken advantage of for a situation out-with my control.”

“Flight delayed and had to pay £30 for being 8 hours over pre paid parking. So I paid £77.99 for 12 days then due to Edinburgh airport ground handling delays my flight was cancelled, I had added 8 hours onto my booking at time of booking to cover delays absolute disgrace that you don’t allow for delays considering the majority are out with passengers control and the majority caused by the airport ground handling being understaffed. Terrible service total rip off charging £30 for 8 hours.”
“Visit was on Monday 18th August 2022 I paid £49.99 the day before to park for 8 hours in Multi Storey , when I left there was a very slow moving queue at the barrier.On the website when I eventually got there the barrier said I had to pay an extra £16 . I pressed the button , gave my number , said I had paid £49.99 the day before , was within my hours and was not paying any excess , the operator apologised and said there was a fault in the system .”
