On arrival difficult to find a space, encountered cars parked where cars should not have been parked obviously others found the same problem! On departing machine did not accept ticket. Tried again same result with display reporting WAIT A MOMENT. Tried a third time display quoting £140 -- decided to contact helpline (meanwhile another client was experiencing same problem). Ticket still in machine helpline disputing this quoting an IT problem, then asking for reference number which I found difficult to quote due to the fact that my position was rather dimly lit etc. Helpline seemed to mutter it was all my fault which was totally unacceptable. Eventually the barrier opened and your disgruntled customer left rather bemused, wet and thinking was it really worth the bother. Solution -- provide a dry well lit place where this kind of problem can be solved without a driver and car being stuck at the barrier with no obvious escape route! Fortunately it was not busy on this occasion but it would have certainly caused problems if a queue had formed behind me. Perhaps the Trams could run a bit later!!!

For many years, I have used NCP long-term parking at Edinburgh Airport. Never again. The process has become tedious, and takes far too long. The car park is so busy that shuttle buses cannot pick up passengers from the car park. The bus drop off / pick up point at the airport is a) poorly signposted b) a long way from the terminal and c) in the open-air - no protection from the weather. In future I will use a taxi both ways - only slightly more expensive, but much more convenient.

Pre-booked the mi-term parking but when I arrived it was full, as in even the kerbs were covered in vehicles. After ten minutes driving round I exited and drove next door to the long-stay which had spaces. I went to the NCP office in the multi-storey and who took my long term ticket and told me to call on the intercom from the exit barrier when I exited a few days later. I did ask about the difference in cost between the two car parks and simply got a shrug of the shoulders. Very poor and ill-mannered service. I cannot recommend using the mid-term parking.

After prepaying for parking I was asked for another £260 when I tried to leave the car park, obviously I refused and l told them that I already paid for parking, they then lifted the barrier and let us leave, I noticed other users of the car park having the same problem, not impressed one little bit and I most certainly won't be using the longstay car park at Edinburgh airport again

We arrived at the car park and found there was nowhere to park. All the spaces were taken, cars up on verges and abandoned with no-one around to help. The place was total chaos. Not a good service for customers who took the time to pre-book and pay in advance. Eventually a mini bus driver directed ourselves and a few other cars to an area behind a hanger which had around 4 free spaces. If it had not been for him we would have found nothing and not sure what we would have done. Will not use this area again and in future pay the extra for better service and a guaranteed space further away from the airport.

Having pre-booked terminal parking more than two weeks ago I was furious to discover on arrival on Wednesday morning a sign telling me that the part closest to the terminal was full but that there were spaces in areas R-S (?). Nonsense, and infuriating!! There were no legitimate spaces in that latter area and, to avoid missing my flight, I had to park in what seemed the last available bit of land right at the far-most corner - and definitely not a marked parking area. What is going on? I consider that my experience is clear evidence of hopelessly efficient management and I think that, given the exorbitant prices you charge, you really need to get your act together. Your performance on this occasion was disgraceful and were I in charge of this agency, some heads would roll.

Tips for parking at Edinburgh Long stay car park: 1/ Ensure you have booked a space. Cars that have not booked are turned away at the barrier causing long delays for everyone else. No notice of this is given before you reach the barrier, Edinburgh parking attendants like to wait until the last minute before informing drivers there are no spaces. 2/ Once you enter the car park allow at least 20 minutes to find your space. No clues or help are given to where it is so you will have to drive up and down all the parking bays looking for that hidden space. 3/ The bus to the airport drops you off a good 10 minute walk from the departure area so the signs on the buses which say 10 minutes ride to the airport are bending the truth unless you are a world class sprinter........with suitcases. 4/ There used to be 2 buses which did the car park journey but now there is only one so in addition to the 10 minute plus bus ride be prepared to wait for 20 minutes for the bus to arrive. 5/ If you have any difficulties with the barrier when leaving the car park don't bother pressing the help button. I had to do this last night and despite holding my thumb on the button for a good 10 minutes not a one person appeared to offer assistance. I think they all go home at 5pm. 6/ I paid over £50 for the privilege of using this atrocious service. Public transport was not an option at that time in the morning nor at the time of night on my return. Passengers are looked on as cash cows by Edinburgh Airport and a decent service comes as a second priority to obtaining as much money as possible form them.

Booked and paid for multi-storey with fastrack for a trip this week at significant cost and arrive to find the car park is full and blocked off. Then took 20-30 mins to find one empty space in surface parking miles from the terminal and so close to other cars I will most likely have a dent in the side when I return but was going to miss my flight and there was no other option. Very poor Edinburgh Airport - for the money you are charging you should not be overselling the spaces.

Pre-booked mid stay carpark. Hardly any spaces available at 05:30 in morning. Many cars were parked on verges blocking some roads. Pedestrian route to airport was not direct. Felt vulnerable as out of sight of anyone passing and lighting could be improved. Although reasonably priced I will it use this car lark again.

Parked at the mid-term car park - it rained both ways and no cover. Paid for an umbrella I didn't need. Still got wet. The airport is now crowded, and cluttered with retail stands when what people want is not to continually bump into each other in narrow alleys -which should not be narrow. Security is a nightmare despite organisational efforts. Crowded pick up areas with people carrying boxes from one place to another (some people are not physically capable of carrying these heavy boxes full of stuff) and when a bag is selected for inspection it's done in an area the size of a postage stamp. I'm ashamed to be British at Edinburgh. The major Asian and Arabic airports have it sorted. Taiwan, Beijing, Dubai etc are great. We are not. Regards

Business valet is the headline and the selling point, was it washed or valeted it was certainly not sorry Edinburgh airport you need to rebrand your selling headline I was disappointed in this service you can park 10 yards away for£20 cheaper

A total disgrace and a dreadful rip-off! I pre-booked my parking in the Long Stay Carpark. I then followed the signs to the Long Stay Carpark and parked. It was only when I was on the shuttle bus on the way to the terminal that I saw another sign to another Long Stay Carpark and feared that I had parked in the wrong one. On my return, I did read the small print which confirmed that I was in the wrong carpark and I had to pay another £45. I dare say that I am far from alone in getting caught out by this appalling rip off and I hope that this review may save others from the same fate. Is it really beyond the ability ofthose in charge to change the signage so as not to deceive those who have pre-paid? It is verging on a criminal deception.

I pre booked the mid stay car park for arrival at 6am and leaving at 10pm on the same day and was absolutely appalled that there were no parking spaces, I drove round a few times to no avail. There were cars parked everywhere, on kerbs, on give way junctions, in any available space, legal or not!!! At the perimeter fence drivers have moved the small kerbs so they could park on the gravel along the fence. It was here I found a space to squeeze in between two cars, had I not done this I would have missed my flight. On exiting the car park I followed the signs for the exit and came across cars actually blocking the way to the exit, I had to reverse back and go up another aisle to the exit. I will never, never use this car park again, bad, bad experience!!!

Have used this car park 3 times in the last few months. Don't think I will bother with the hassle again. On 2 occasions we had trouble finding a parking space as the car park was completely full. In addition on both occasions, despite pre booking and paying in advance, we we unable to proceed through the barriers on our return. The ticket machine showed us owing substantial parking fees and we then had to go to the bother of finding our booking references so the staff could confirm we had paid. This is the last thing you need on returning from a long flight. Terrible service.

Paid £53 and there was no space to park. Cars were parked anywhere they could find a space I.e. on verges restricted place, I had to park over a pavement/ concrete verge and then spent the next 24 hours worrying about my car. I don't see why you are selling parking when there are no spaces

I booked mid parking for an overnight trip. I arrived and the car registration did not open the barrier. I eventually got staff to answer the intercom. I was asked for and provided my booking reference, and was told that was fine. The operative then ended the call but the barrier did not open. I made contact again and it was opened. I asked if there were spaces given that the machine said car park full. I was told there were a few spaces and to just drive round and I'd find a space. After 15 minutes I was unable to locate and space and it was very difficult to drive because many cars had been left in any old gap but not a formal car parking space. I spoke to a passing member of staff who said it had taken him 45 minutes to obtain a space for someone on the previous day. I eventually had to abandon my car at the side as I needed to get my flight. This left me worrying about the safety of my car. When I returned I had to explain why I did not have a ticket and the barrier was opened. I do not think that I was offered the car parking facility that I had booked and paid for. Whilst I had time to park in my booked option, I did not have time to explore or use a second parking option. I would not advise anyone to use this facility until the issues of gross overbooking are resolved.

Having booked and paid some weeks previous I was surprised to find the lack of available parking spaces and when we tried to exit at the barrier we were to pay £140. Earlier this year we were to pay£163 to exit .The system is not working for the customer.

Paid £25.50 for 10 hours parking in the Mid-stay. Not a good parking experience! Firstly, single point of entry and a customer, a number of cars in a queue in front of me, trying to access was having an issue at the barrier. A long issue; with other cars starting to join a lengthy queue to get in. People behind obviously on a similar tight timescale, now sounding horns etc. Eventually gain access and find that there are no spaces available. Join a procession of cars circuiting the car park looking for any space. By now my timing was critical to try and get through security etc. etc. Had no idea what to do now, no staff, and no indication what to do when the car park full. I assumed if I left the mid-stay and drove to the long stay I'd void my booking and have to pay whatever price in the long stay. So opted to park in a hatched area as other drivers were doing. Resultant was I worried all day as to whether my car would be clamped/towed away. On my return somewhat relieved to see that many other Customers had done exactly the same thing and had parked any old where! So never again! I use EDI about once a fortnight, so it's back to Flying Scot or Secure Airparks for me. As a matter of note, exited the A8 airport slip road at 05:20 and exited security at 06:30!
