“As always excellent , the only problem each time is that the only spaces available seem to be on the top floor open to the weather elements ! The quick access on the 2nd level to the security check always works well.”
“Was a bit concerned about using Plane Parking as several reviews mentioned difficulty in finding the bus stops. I have no idea why that was an issue, they are somewhat obvious. Spaces are a decent size, I could easily get my large case in and out of a side door after parking. Bus was sitting at the stop when we arrived and we got straight on. Only waited five minutes on return. Reg was recognised fine on entry, exit was easy using the ticket. Would happily use again.”
“Absolute game changer, drive in right next to terminal, take your luggage and leave keys at reception and obtain your receipt.
On return pick up your keys and jump in your car, nothing simpler or easier, no lugging cases onto transfer coaches.
This is the only way I will ever park at airport again”
“Parking at airport really good but one problem I had was going across to carpark the pavements could have been lower at points instead of zizging all over”
“Edinburgh Airport Long Stay Car Park – Practical Review
• Booking: Easy and straightforward to book online.
• Finding It: Don’t follow the first “Long Stay” sign at the airport entrance – that’s for a private operator. Keep driving past the Hilton to reach the official long stay car park.
• Access: Walkable to the terminal, but no shuttle buses provided.
• Trolleys: £2 per trolley, and no free returns. We needed two each time – £8 total, which adds up. No clear return bays for trolleys either.
• Weather: No shelter on the walk – we got wet in the rain, which was difficult with a 12-month-old baby.
Summary: Easy to book and use, but lack of shuttle, paid trolleys, and exposure to weather could be improved – especially for families.”
