I prebooked parking for 4 days £28, and when I entered the car park, I had to take a ticket, even when I told one of the team I had prebooked. On leaving I was charged £120? So had to speak to another person to cancel.

Hi, It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit. This doesn't happen often but when it does, I understand the frustration that it causes. I'm glad you managed to get it sorted at the time. Kind regards, Customer Support Team

Made a booking online prior to arrival of £31.99. Car was not registered as i arrived. Had my 3 night stay and during departure I was asked to pay £130. There was no contact details to get in touch with anyone, the car park was un manned and the call for assistance button was conveniently not working.

Flight was delayed, then took 40 minutes to clear border control, as a result £9 extra to pay, not the best way to end a holiday

Flight was cancelled so didn’t use parking, and didn’t get a refund.

Arrived at long stay in the dark. No signs to show walking route to terminal. Ended up walking a dangerous route across tramline and on roads with no pavement, until I reached short-stay car park. Thought I would find more easily when I returned. Got off airport bus from Edinburgh - again, no obvious path to long stay. Again resorted to dangerous route at dusk. When I tried to pay, no obvious way to input my long-stay booking number. Input ticket - was going to be charged for few hours extra as flight from lhr cancelled so arrived at airport later than booked. Operator on intercom helpful and saved the day. Overall, a terrible experience. I am widely travelled, and found this “service” an embarrassment to Edinburgh airport and to Scotland. Surely you can do better. The “parking map/directions” which was in reality a You Tube video, was also a major miss.

Couldn’t get out of the barrier as ANPR didn’t work, neither did the ticket, staff took about 5 mins to answer the call, and when they did really didn’t care, couldn’t find my details and eventually let me out once I had given them my booking number. Hopeless staff who just didn’t seem to care, Other people were also having problems!!!

I had to reschedule my trip due to the storms and could not reschedule my parking at the same time. Very disappointing to have lost money

Dear Edinburgh Airport Parking, A bit of a disaster I'm afraid, we were charged £225 to get out of the car park. I have raised the matter via the Edinburgh Airport Parking email. It seems the time & date stamp maching was faulty, showing 19t Feb even though we exited on schedule on the 18th. Looking for a speedy resolution.

More than a ten minute walk and no disabled spaces I could see. Poorly signposted when you return and staff were clueless if you asked whereabouts it is

Signage very poor. No clear direction of where walkway was to take you to terminal. When you find walkway, you will notice its been placed through all large puddles. Ticket system not very clear. You pay online, but still get a ticket with signage telling you to pay at meter, nothing saying to ignore if prepaid. You are left wondering if you will be stuck at the barrier on exit. Have to admit, Glasgow Airport are lightyears ahead of Edinburgh when it comes to organisation. Also signage from main road exit not clear. You pass 2 other 'long stay' car parks before seeing any signs for for this 1. Obviously you research where it is before you go, but could add confusion.

Hi Richard, Thank you for your review. I’m sorry to hear you found our wayfinding confusing. Clear signage is one of the most important things to have in any busy environment, but especially in an airport. Please be assured that we are actively working on our wayfinding strategy, and we will ensure feedback, like yours, is brought into the discussion. Kind regards, Rachael Customer Support Team

Hi there, Thank you for the review. All passengers do receive a 2 hour grace period as standard, we would always encourage passengers to make an additional booking if they are delayed further as this is significantly cheaper than our roll up rate. Kind Regards, Customer Support Team

I booked 2 cars in for a recent International trip. I needed to cancel one of the vehicles due to a positive covid case and was unable to cancel within the 24hr period. I have had no reply to my email and other companies have issued credit notes. Very disappointing....

Paid a small fortune to park for half an hour to pick up my disabled mother-in-law. To add insult to injury, had a 15-minute walk in howling winds and driving rain to the airport as the buses has stopped due to Covid! But public busses are still running, so why did they stop theirs? Let me guess, just another 'Covid excuse' to lay people off.

Robbery, I'd booked before online for a weekend and knew it was only around 30 pounds. Turned up at the airport and it said 120 pounds if you havnt booked in advance. Tried to book online but accidentally entered the following day, non refundable within 24 hours and no contact details to try to explain the mistake on my part. Couldn't book online for the correct day as you need to book a few hours in advance, conveniently the time most people arrive at the airport and at that point have no other choice but to pay the 4x fee on the gate. Ended up paying around 150 pounds total to park for flights that were only 100 pounds. Will be taking a taxi in future.

Hi, I pre booked my parking, around £28, on Tuesday the directions took me to long stay car park, I received a ticket at the gate, then when I arrived Wednesday night I had no option to pay an extra £75 for the car park, not only this as you can understand my anger at this, when I payed I left my bank card in the machine and drove home no realising until next morning I had Lost my card, poor directions

My recent ‘experience’ can only be described as day-light robbery and I would not recommend using the airport parking option to anyone in the future. Their policy is not fit for purpose in these current times and the staff member I engaged with was clearly ignorant to the situation and dismissive of my circumstances.

I have nothing good to say about Edinburgh Airport rip off parking. When I picked my car up late because of difficulties with my return flight, I was charged £50 to get my car out the carpark. When I contacted the customer services team to complain they never even acknowledged me. Also dropping friends off was charged £4 for literally 2 minutes to let them out the car.

Extortionately expensive, particularly for picking up or dropping off - makes me want to travel any other way than by plane

Really disappointed that I didn’t get my money back when I had to cancel my parking - due to illness I had to cancel my trip - hotel and flights all fully refunded but not my airport parking? Maybe should review your policies as not customer centric
