“The airport parking itself was fine; however, the experience of parking there feels like a money grab because it’s very expensive. I have tried various options, they are all quite costly.
The worst part about being in the long stay lot is that the walk from the car to the airport takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Every time you cross a road, there are bumps on the pavement, which are presumably there so that blind people know where the roads are. I guess this is fair. However, I can’t help thinking that no blind people wouldn't be using this road unless they were accompanied by someone else because they wouldn’t be driving the car. Having these bumps only damages the wheels on your luggage. We encountered nearly 30 of these areas from where we were parked. They are far too many and very inconvenient for anyone wheeling a suitcase with wheels.”

I am very disappointed and surprised with the Long Stay Parking at Edinburgh Airport.
I did not know this car park would be this bad. The distance from the car park to the terminal is far too long, almost 1.5 km, and there is no covered walkway or roof to protect passengers from the bad Scottish weather.
I find it unacceptable that passengers have to walk such a long distance in the rain before taking a flight. Clothes, luggage, documents and even passports can get wet. An airport car park should have a covered route or some proper protection against rain and wind.
Honestly, I am very surprised to see this type of car park at an airport. I do not understand how this project was legally approved or authorised in these conditions, without proper protection for passengers against bad weather. In my opinion, it does not meet a minimum level of comfort, safety and respect for travellers.
Therefore, I recommend all passengers not to book this car park under any circumstances. Even if it was offered to me for free, I would not park here again.
In my opinion, this is disrespectful to passengers. A long-stay airport car park should not operate in these conditions, with such a long walkway and no proper protection.

“Easy to locate and park, but only 2 bus stances, which could be problematic for elderly, however easy to walk on, compared to other parks. Bus available on departure, and journey to drop off took about 5 mins. On exit however, barrier would not raise when ticket inserted, and had to seek help.”
“Always happy with the parking at Edi due to simplicity of signage and ease of use of the system. On the odd occasion I’ve had to contact staff, they have been friendly, patient, and happy to help”
“It let me make the same booking for the same dates for the same car twice by mistake. Didn’t realize until it was too late to cancel. You don’t have an account so you can’t see your bookings together. So I paid double.”
“This beats Glasgow hands down. Cheaper, easier to use, located in front of terminal with most of the walkway covered and the staff were extremely helpful. I live in Glasgow but will look to fly from Edinburgh in future as this was a great service.”
“As usual used the multi-storey car park, a bit frustrated at some of the levels closed off. However it’s a great place to park and the use of the fast track from the second floor is excellent with no hassles and very quickly your through security. I have used this car park 4 times this year and would highly recommend it to anyone”
