“Our 1 week pre-booked parking was pretty straight forward experience. Drive in, collect ticket. park the car, hop on the bus to 3 minutes drive to terminal and same thing on the return in reverse order. Just when leaving the last gate no need to leave a ticket.”
“Stayed in the long stay car park. Excellent availability of spaces even during the school holidays. Decent sized spaces, quality tarmac, and just a 5 minute walk to the terminal.”
“In the main section of Terminal Parking, there is no signage to direct vehicles to the additional spaces on the other side of the access road from the last roundabout.”
“We were in the multi-storey car park which was great to walk over to the airport and also included fast track security passes. This is a very busy car park and we were driving around all levels before we eventually found a space on level 4. Each level said there were spaces available but it seems the board wasn't updating while we were there.”
“Easy to find and park. Nice easy walk to terminal to meet my wife off her flight. Down side I had pre booked and payed for 4 hours just incase my wife's flight was delayed. I arrived at just after 12noon so I was booked in from 12pm to 4pm. My wife's flight arrived around 1.40pm. we arrived back at the car around 2.30pm then went the exit to find I had to pay an additional £20. I payed this but not happy. I checked my bank account later that evening to find long stay carpark but I arrived at mid stay and left by mid stay. Not happy.”
“Fast and easy to park up and return only 1 small issue is the colour barrier when you are arriving to park you have to remember to stay in the right hand lane as the others take you to the drop off at a cost of £7 pounds which are also the same colour”
“Parking at Edinburgh Airport is getting worse mostly driven by maximising revenue at the expense of both service and customer care. Four issues this time.
1. There are only two bus stops in the plane and the drivers will only stop at the stops and won't do request stops, so if you park away from the two stops its along walk.
2. There used to be a roadway opposite stop 1 which allowed you to walk to the stop from the other side of the car park this has now been turned into more parking spaces. So you have to walk between the cars with your luggage, more greed on the part of the operator
3. The buses used to run every ten minutes they now run every 18 minutes, i.e reduced servcie saving maoney which is certainly not passed on the customer.
4. As my registration plate is from a vehicle registered before 2001 it does not register this on the entry ticket, i therefore have to spend an additional 5 minutes getting out of the car park while the operator checks my booking.
Overall the car parking is getting worse like the rest of the airport all operated to maximise profit at the expense of service and customer care.”
“We used the Fast Park Service, going out it was very easy, however the return process wasn't explained very well, it was only upon our return that I found out I should have been given a ticket to scan on my return, however I never received this and did not know which colour of terminal I should have went to to get my key back, or where my car was parked, maybe this can be explained a bit better in your "how to" video”
