“It was a reasonable price, but I do have issues....even knowing the airport well and knowing where it is I was confused by the lack of signs. Also, I didn't much faith that a bus would turn up so ended up walking. I think more could be done to clearly signpost the long stay car park and also give greater assurances over bus regularity.”
“Entry was easy using number plate recognition. No delay waiting for bus. Unfortunately parking bays are too narrow and width of access lanes also too narrow.”
“Didn’t work perfectly. I changed my reg number on my booking and my car went unrecognised. On leaving I was asked for 3x what I had already paid. A call to control with my booking number solved the problem quickly. Therefore hang on to your paperwork!”
“This is around the sixth time I have used the long stay carpark at Edinburgh Airport. The first five times were glitch free. On my most recent visit I was asked when leaving the car park to pay £150.00. As I had paid in advance for the parking I was using this was a nasty surprise. Although this was sorted out quickly it is not what you want when arriving back in the country.”
“On arrival at the airport surface car park, the car park was full and I spent a lot of time looking for a place. There was a sign at the entrance for re direction, but it was not clear where this was. The signage could have been better.”
“The biggest problem is actually finding a 'parking space' - I was astonished at the number of vehicles which had been left parked 'on the actual narrow drive-roads'. Considering I had 'booked a car parking space' well in advance - when I arrived at the 'Long Stay Car Park' - I spent a considerable amount of time actually finding a space to park my car.”
“Very handy but would have found it easier when travelling with a small child and suitcases to have been allocated a parking area to go to rather than scouting around for one. Additionally a trolley bay further back would have been good as would have made the walk in to the airport easier. Possibly easier to use this park if you are a business commuter, it could be a little more child friendly. Thanks”
“Not really happy...on arrival 13/9/17 at 08.53...we spent a fraught time trying to find a parking spot on all levels that were open....full, full etc ...very worrying as it appeared the top tier was blocked off by cones and red tape..we began to really worry about flight and check-in ..and followed a circular tour till a spot was finally found...cannot see why tier was blocked off if capacity was showing full....
No problems on return..as it was around 0 30 on 19th and full off spaces..
Was surprised by having to really search for spot particularly after paying approx. £72.00 in advance.....Mr J. Francis”
