“Ticket barriers all worked as required so that was good. Problem was that I had to spend about 20 minutes driving around to find a space, and the one way system means that finding a space necessitates repeated circling of roads that you already know have no spaces. It also wasn't obvious that I could get into the "other" section without leaving the first one, and I had no idea what that would do to my ticket.....in the end I found that I could get into the other section, but by then I was running late, and it was a least a five minute walk to the terminal rather than the two quoted.”
“Good directions to parking. Quick and straightforward hand over. Picking up car. I found the cabin ok but I think that others would be confused as no sign to indicate the cabin or the nearest bus stop to the cabin and directions from it. Car pick up location. Was shown an A4 print of 5 blue areas of 6. I was in 83 but in poor lighting and no markings to stipulate the areas I was wondering about for ages. Glad my lights come on with the ignition key, Was told to exit up v cabin but not possible with road arrows.”
“Easy to find carparks and plenty regular shuttle buses between the terminal. My only concern is that even though you book and pay in advance your not guaranteed a space. People were abandoning their cars on the yellow lines within the carpark to catch their flight as there were no spaces even though you were pre booked. We managed to find one but a lot of people couldn't. Would be better if there was a system where you were guaranteed a space if you were booked and pre paid”
“Was expecting, as advertised, that car and keys would be collected and parked for me. Was told they were too busy and full to do that.
On return, I had problem exiting and was told I had to pay further £170 at barrier. I spoke to voice support to explain that I had already paid. They asked for reference number which I couldn’t give easily as on my email. Wasn’t told I needed that. I gave my car reg no and eventually was let through. Big queue behind me wasn’t happy waiting! Have used several airport parking firms but this was not the best.”
“Booked Terminal Parking way back in May but usual car park was full so directed to R & S - I had an 86 year old with me and these places were so much further to walk to the Terminal along with cases on a trolley and wind to contend with.”
“Prices have been hiked recently with no additional service enhancement. Passenger exit from terminal to car parks lacks pedestrian flow and is congested. Exterior layout and pedestrian flow from terminal exit all the way through the multi-storey ground floor to surface terminal needs a rethink. There are dangerous bottlenecks as people congregate at various points along that route.”
“Secure, safe and bus to terminal is regular and fast. Was over capacity on my last visit with cars bumped up on kerbs which I had never seen before. I heard from a colleague that they started directing people to the multi-storey shortly after I arrived as they knew they had over booked. Overall, fairly good, albeit quite pricey for a lengthy stay.”
“It's OK but not as good as Glasgow airport's parking.
Why? Because the instructions you get aren't that clear, the number plate recognition doesn't notify you that your car has been recognised and there are no signs to tell you where the free spaces are in the surface car park. Cue confusion, needed to ask the parking attendant about whether the ticket issued had recognised the booking and hunt around and around to eventually find a space. Price is similar to Glasgow's covered car park so obviously that makes Edinburgh's surface car park seem a bit dearer.”

“I am disabled and booked car is as such but when I arrived at the reception car was parked fat away the attendant took pity on. Me and got car when leaving I. Could not get the car out because you were looking for£170 had to back and get it sorted at 2am it was a problem”
“Easy use of barriers, only frustration is the difficulty finding a space - at £30 a day parking, surely the airport could invest in technology which could recognise where there are spaces?”
“Service from car park to airport was poor due to bus having hardly any space for luggage. Meant conditions were extremely cramped. Bus in return had much more space and would have been more suitable.”
“The parking was fine. When I got to the barrier however it wanted to charge me £130. This was despite parking being paid beforehand and having parked within my allotted time. The man in help was very good howveer and I got through. This is the third time this has happened to me.”
“Multistorey and Fastrack package is convenient but pricey. Could not get parking any way near the bridge though as we ended up on a different level at the far side of the car park.”
“It was disappointing that having booked parking well in advance in the multi storey covered building that there was room only on the top (uncovered) floor. As a gale was raging as we left for our holiday, we were slightly concerned about damage from flying debris to the car. Could not reserved spaces be allocated to anyone booking in advance? Otherwise, a perfect place to park being so near to the terminal.”
“Good booking service etc but not enough help on arrival to find a space...htere were hardly any.
Bus stop numbers need to be mounted on all sides and at high level. Also 'Exit' signs need to more numerous and bigger! Very frustrating indeed on return.”
