“It was easy to find although the booking wasn’t easy, once booked I had to change my times and the app or the site doesn’t let you, the help live chat doesn’t work on the website or the app or the phone number no one answered. I emailed and 24 hours later someone replied to say I must book & pay again and she would cancel my old booking as it wasn’t possible to amend the times. I did this and I still haven’t had a refund for my original booking, so I have paid twice.
I think in this day and age, especially when you have invested in an app, it’s pointless if it doesn’t work. Apps similar like Ringogo let you change your parking time mid session.
You shouldn’t have to email and wait hours for a response to a simple query which must happen all the time.
The car park was not 1 minute from the terminal as described as the spaces were full we were parked further away, the floor was slippy with ice with no grit and no trollies near by, made it very difficult to pull all our cases in the ice.
On the way out we got charged a further £28 even though we were back prior to the end of our booking. I disputed this at the time, seems there was not update on my new booking so I was still running under the old one.
Wasn’t a great experience but it wouldn’t stop me using again due to location if the app worked properly and there wasn’t excess charges.
Please can you confirm when the refund will go in to my bank?
Thank
Stephanie”
“The online booking was inexpensive for the amount of parking we required. Purchase was quick. Nevertheless, the parking displayed during the purchase (Edinburgh Airport Long Stay Surface parking lot) was in a completely different location, than the one we received confirmation for (Edinburgh Long Stay park, behind the railway). Which caused confusion and additional cost to me, as we initially parked in a wrong car park. Furthermore - the ticket on exit required to pay 135 GBP for stay which came as a surprise. But at least this was solved quickly once I'd contacted the customer service.”
“Fasttrack is great and very convenient, the multi-storey is generally well laid out and easy to navigate.
One star is lost because my car always ends up with a layer of dust after a stay in the multi-storey (I'm guessing because of construction work nearby), and another star is lost because last time I used the car park I was late exiting, due to my son being unwell, and was charged an extra £11 to be allowed to leave!”
“All was going well till we tried to exit. I entered my prepaid parking ticket only to be told that I had to pay £319. I was stunned. I pressed the help button but it was engaged. I got through the second time. Fortunately with my reference number and car registration we were allowed to leave but I was left feeling quite rattled. Not sure what happened but I welcome an explanation.”
“Well, happy? I’m happy that I didn’t have to pay the 150£ suggested at checkout ... but disappointed that my booking wasn’t activated at checkout ... Anyway it only took a few minutes to get it sorted”
“Easy to manage, easy to find. Only problem was getting back, as the parking has been prepaid but the machine at the gates said otherwise. Had to contact the staff to get it sorted. However, it was solved very efficiently and quickly.”
“The barrier machines do not always automatically recognise the car registration, when prebooked.
Should be offers for regular users of the parking services.”
“The idea of the parking really appealed and worked reasonable well on arrival but on returning to pick up our car the lack of signage in the airport for the multi story car park led us all over trying to get back to the car and got soaked as it was raining at the time which defeated the object of parking there to start with. A little disappointed overall.”
“The Staff at Edinburgh Airport are very helpfull especially a chap named Colin. But when approaching the car park it should be made clear what carpark as they should be signs for terminal, mid stay and long stay as we had a terrible time finding the correct car park that we had purchased for.
Colin the car park attendand was very good indeed as I ended up parking in the wrong car park but Colin sorted all this out for me so that I didnt get charged for parking in the wrong car park. On purchasing there should be a map showing you how to get to the correct one.”
“I was told that my car would be parked in the multi-storey car park, but when I picked it up the back was covered in snow and ice, with the boot-lid frozen shut.”
“I had not paid attention to the place where the car was parked and when I got back I spent 40 minutes looking for it under the snow. It would have been good some sign reminder in the shelter where I wait for the bus that took me to the airport.”
