“Arrival and parking was fine. I parked at the fast rack security section and used the covered link corridor to the terminal. However on return there was no obvious way to get to my car using the same route as arrival. Edinburgh Airport had closed all the access points to the upper level. The weather was awful and I had to leave the terminal building to find another way to the multi storey. I don’t understand why the covered access on level 2 was not open.”

The FastTrack bridge is for departures only while using the FastTrack lane in security and it also closes later in the evening throughout the night however the walk from the terminal building to the Multi-storey car park is fully covered with the exception of the road area/ zebra crossing.

“Your long term product is a disaster. I understand there is construction going on, but it is being managed very poorly. Even longer walks for passengers toting suitcases etc and no signage. And I've also used your multi-storey product and have had terrible experiences with your staff, who are very rude.”

“I arrived at Edinburgh airport and drove up to car park barrier when it came to my attention I may have been at the wrong car park I spoke with a guy there and he said just to enter this car park and go out the exit and gave me directions to the correct mid stay car park. I entered this car park as advised but then when exiting I had to pay, I was not told this before I had entered this car park.”

“Thank you for your reply Edinburgh Airport. Can you please confirm that the standard charge per day (less than 24 hours) is 50 sterling? This seems alot to me but if that is correct, I will understand why we were charged.
Our plane was cancelled and we arrived a day late. We were charged 50 pounds for this which seemed excessive.”

If you have overstayed your car parking booking you will be subject to pay the non pre booked rate upon exiting the car park.

“Once again on trying to get out the car park, after prepaying and actually leaving before the cutoff, I was asked to pay £150. This seems to happen every time. We prepay, but when we go to leave, we’re asked to pay again. Getting fed up of waiting at the gate trying to get it resolved. It shouldn’t be this difficult to implement a parking system.”

It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit. I understand the frustration that it causes however I'm glad you managed to get it sorted at the time.

“What is the intention and time frame for future access to and from the long stay car park? The route to and from the airport terminal is serpentine, poorly surfaced and inadequately signposted. My most recent use of the car park involved a 15 minute badly lit and cold walk through wind and rain. i can only assume it would have been even more difficult and uncomfortable for travellers with large amounts of luggage, disabilities and/or young children.”

“Was the worse parking experience was charged an extra 28.00 for a 3 day stay that amounted to over 100 I am looking for my booking form to get a refund . Was terrible but let’s face it no choice if I need to be at hand near an airport. I was tired after the journey I just wanted home”

“Car wing mirror was damaged and nobody admitted to it , very poor from parking personnel, wasn't noticed straight away as wing mirrors folded in automatically and was only noticed later the next time I went out in my car , I know I never touched anything with mirrors as I'm the only driver and mirrors fold in each time so couldn't happen when stationary so could have only happened when someone else was driving and wasn't scratched when I dropped it off , the photo booths you enter and supposedly it goes through before being handed back are utter useless as they never picked up this limit of damage so all a farce , never been a fan of someone parking your car and this has proved me correct , why don't they just let you pick a space yourself ! Whoever did park my car must have known they had scraped the wing mirror and never let on to whoever is in charge which is disappointing and since I had left the car park before reporting I have no claim , so check your cars all over and don't let what happened to me happen to you as somebody who parks the cars is incompetent of doing so.”
“I was very appalled by the way my car or even other customers cars are misused.
What I mean by this is, I own an upmarket car with a performance engine.
The young person that moved my car seized the opportunity to have a bit of fun to impressing his colleagues,
It started off by revving the car so much to make the exhaust sound like a formular one car and everyone cheering how great this was, encouraging him to do it again.
This happened on several occasions.
The drive to the storage compound was very aggressive, as soon as he cleared the exit barrier the road became a race track, hard acceleration to aggrieve maximum exhaust noise, hard braking because of his excess speed all on a road with a speed limit of 20MPH.
How do I know this, because my car has a hidden built in dash cam something he wasn’t aware off.
So now we know what happens when your car is in the care of Edinburgh airport parking.
I wash my hands of your company I can’t reverse what has happened but bad news travelling fast so I and many others when they see this video on u tube don’t think they will want to use your services”

“For someone who lived 10 years in London and flew from all its airports also frequently using the parking facilities I can surely say that Edinburgh airport is out of its mind, most of the times, practicing prices which for the same periods of the year, surpass the prices of Heathrow airport. Edinburgh airport should remind itself that it's a shack in a field in a part of the country nobody wants to be in and should dial down the pricing as it's not playing in the big leagues, just check yourselves.”
