“Always easy to book and transport to the terminal runs very regular. Our departure date clashed with a Bank holiday and the car park was full on our arrival. Lots of vehicles parked out of unmarked bays which we had to do aswell. Not ideal but had no other option.”
“Got me parked and to the airport. Pity the bus only takes you halfway to the terminal.
Apparently, you can't get off the bus through the front doors. You don't find this out until you try and the driver points out a circular sign 1 inch across above the door, where he can see it but nobody else can. Why not have a big sign on the doors?”
“It didn't. Having pre -paid a not inconsiderable sum I arrived to find the main parking area "full". I was required to park in an adjoining area which left the car several hundred yards from the terminal building. Needless to say on my return heavy rain and driving wind provided an unwelcome returning experience.
Furthermore, yet again the "number plate recognition" promised in the booking process failed to operate and it was necessary to speak to your representative at the exit barrier.”
“Parking was fine and, walking distance from terminal - unfortunately my car wasn't recognised as being pre booked, but a ticket with registration number was issued which led me to believe everything was OK. When I returned, the exit barrier asked for £330 for a 10 night park. This was resolved quickly by calling for assistance, but was stressful end to the holiday particularly as all our paperwork was in the boot, there was a queue of traffic behind us, and it was belting down with rain - I checked and I had input the correct vehicle details, so not really sure why it wasn't automated.”
“Used to be my first choice for parking/getting to the airport but since the prices have risen by at least a third I tend to look for other much cheaper options than just booking right away like I have done for the last several years (maybe 20 to 25 bookings).
I find it now pays to shop around due to the price hike,even a taxi transfer of 20 miles is sometimes a cheaper option for me and other family members who used to use the on site parking without fail.
I still prefer the on site parking as it is perfect with a short walk to the terminal and a no hassle service with great telephone staff if needed”
“Everything was fine on entering. The site was very busy and it took a while to find a space in the R to Z section. But when we returned at midnight the ticket would not work in the machine and we had to wait for help.”
“It was all good until i reached the barrier to leave and put my ticket in and machine said i had £76 to pay. I had paid on line for the three days. Pressed the button to contact the gentleman who took my ref. and let me out, but no apology.”
“It was easy to book online and no problem when we had to change our car reg number due to replacing our car. However we parked on the surface parking for a week as instructed, taking the ticket and were horrified to see a £265 charge come up on the machine when we inserted the ticket. It took a few minutes, speaking to a nameless voice to get let out, no apology given. Not impressed.”
“Easy to find and close proximity to the airport, on the downside we did struggle to find a parking space and a lot of cars were just left parked on end of the parking aisle on the access roads”
“Much cheaper to book in advance and bus etc worked well. However camera didn't pick up registration number properly so had to pay when I arrived back but then could get refund”
