“The shuttle bus is reasonably frequent, but it drops you off half a mile from the departures lounge. Sign-posting on the airport approach road is not clear - there is more than one long stay car-park. If you don't know where it is, the exit is hard to find.”
“Very easy process to book, for a week away. Good rates. Due to airline delays, plane arrived for our departure from the car park later than planned. At departure barrier suddenly presented with an overcharge and no way to pay at the barrier. Very frustrating and not just for me, but also for those behind.
Plan accordingly.”
“Chose Terminal surface. When we arrived, it took ages to find a vacant space, still ended up quite a distance from the terminal which kind of defeated the purpose of being able to walk to it. Would have been better to have been in the long-stay park as we would have then been able to get a bus, as it was torrential rain at the time. At £91 for the week, it didn't seem great value.”
“It was a good carpark however I pre-booked before I arrived then on exit it told me I had an outstanding amount and wouldn't let me exit. It obviously happens a lot as there was a notice stuck on the exit post about what to do. This involved having to press the button, dig out an email via my phone to get a booking reference, be interrogated like a criminal before just opening the gate- no sorry for having you sit with your window talking to a post for 5 minutes at 10pm on a Friday night. This part was a bit rubbish, otherwise think it would have been a 4*”
“The parking is close to the Terminal - although i had to drive around a bit before finding a space. You can get good deals - although this was not one of those - being over £40 for 4 days. It is, however, convenient.”
“Booked and paid for online however when exiting the car park we were asked to pay a further £30+. When we were trying to query this we had difficulty finding the customer help button as it was the middle of the night and the lighting at the exit was not good, however once we located it and gave our reference number to the guy who answered, the barrier was lifted without any extra charge. There was also another couple at the exit who were having the same difficulty as us having also paid online.
Pity about this inconvenience as all other aspects of the service were good.”
“I travelled from Glasgow and I was not happy that despite paying £104 for 5 days at the terminal parking to include level 2 parking & Fast Track. I could not find a single available parking space on level 2 let alone in the Fast Track area of this floor! We had to park on the third floor which added further stress to our morning. I received NIL discount despite being a frequent flyer from Edinburgh. I always park at the onsite airport terminal and do not understand why the loyalty discount is never applied. Next time, I certainly wont pay fast track as it gives no benefit whatsoever. Very deceptive sales tactic”
“They not that easy to find once u get to roundabout could do with more signs. A few other drivers i was following found the same problem. Parking was also nearly fill think they should have someone there to direct traffic to spaces. Lot if cars illegally parked on side of pavements in car park. But had no trouble getting out of car park not like last time. Could also be better signs for bus pick up”
“Always easy to book and transport to the terminal runs very regular. Our departure date clashed with a Bank holiday and the car park was full on our arrival. Lots of vehicles parked out of unmarked bays which we had to do aswell. Not ideal but had no other option.”
