“Spaces extremely tight and I had a scratch on my car when I returned. Barrier wouldn’t lift and tried to charge me £125, was sorted but attendant wasn’t friendly.”
“Unfortunately our holiday was cancelled at 23.40 the night before travel. I got in touch with airport parking and was told because I hadn't given 24 hours notice I wouldn't get a refund but to contact Edinburgh Airport which I have done but have heard nothing back. As this was not my fault I feel it unfair not to get even a partial refund. Disappointing.”
“My flight was cancelled at 01.07 on 4/7/25,flight was due at 06:30. This was cancelled by easyJet. Edinburgh airport refuse to refund my £79.99 parking as I didn’t provide more than 24hrs. Unacceptable when cancellation was out of my control.”
“When we arrived at Edinburgh Airport parking the signs were not clear and we ended up in the wrong car park….we were in there about 5/10mins and when we tried to leave we were charged £10 tried to speak to someone about it but to no avail …… I think its absolutely disgusting that you are ripping people off for a genuine mistake”
“Signage to car parks very unclear, with no space to manoeuvre if wrong car park entered - nowhere to turn away from barrier without reversing with hazard lights on. Difficult if there are cars behind you waiting to get in!
I’m still unclear as to whether I had to pay parking charge - I am a blue-badge holder, parked in a disabled bay, yet pre-paid £90 for duration of our stay. Nowhere/no-one to ask whether payment was necessary.”
“Booking was easy however 1 hour after I booked my easyJet flight was cancelled and there was no way of cancelling my parking . I try to contact someone however could not get through so I lost my money as well as my holiday”
“Yet again another disaster. This time the machine wouldn't accept the parking ticket. I then had to speak to the attendant who told me that i wasn't listening when i repeatly told him that there was nothing on the screen because the machine kept rejecting the ticket”
“Horrific, car park wouldn't let me in so I had to speak to someone on the intercom and explain then give my booking details, took about 20 minutes sitting at the barrier at 04.30 in the morning.
Same thing happened upon exiting the car park.”
“Cost a fortune and had to spend 20 minutes driving in circles to find a tiny space before walking 10 minutes (website said it was a 1 minute walk, absolutely not)”
“How on earth are old and disabled people expected to park in the long stay car park and walk (in the pouring rain) to the terminal.
Taking off the buses was not a clever idea as I will not be using this carpark again”
“Customer service was very poor and of the "computer says no" attitude as I tried to bring forward the arrival time due to an input error. Would not adjust arrival time and advice was cancell and book again at a more expensive rate or pay the £25 penalty. Typically of what we have come to expect from Edinburgh Airport from the pick up charges to charging for trollys, just finding ways of parting you from your money. The actual service was delivered without fuss.”
“Booked fastpass as it Is close to the airport. On return our car was parked in bay A50 which was a 1/2 mile walk which was horrendous for 70 year olds pushing cases at 2 in the morning.
I would recommend having some system so that senior citizens cars can be parked up close to the airport.”
“Left our car at FastPark for a week. When we returned all satnav and mirror settings had been changed. The lock/unlock button had been broken off. No apology or explanation.”
“I used the mid stay car park for the second time a few days ago and the exit machine did not recognise my car number plate and tried charging £150. The first time it tried charging £240. This time it was at 11.00pm and the first time at 2.0am. Not what you want having just landed from a long flight. Both times I had to contact control and there was a long delay before they finally accepted that the car had been booked in and then released the exit barrier. Extremely annoying and puts me off ever using Edinburgh Airport again.”
“Couldn't locate the car park. Having prepaid, I followed the directions in the email confirmation and tried several gates at the location I was directed to, to no avail. Signage at the airport was poor. I gave up and collected a ticket to pay upon exiting. A complete waste of money and a major source of stress. When it came time to leave, I tried several payment points in the car park and found them all out of order. The only way of paying was at the gate, by which point it was too late to challenge this poor service. Airport car parking is usury”
“The parking process was great and very efficient, however, upon collecting my car, it was significantly damaged and I still have had no luck trying to speak with a member of staff, nor any correspondence back from emails sent.”
