“Parking ran smoothly no issues however on return I had a £55 excess charge as I was a day late on my return through no fault of mine. I had an issue at Paris CDG airport and missed my flight. You need to provide an opportunity to discuss such matters as I couldn’t see any.”
“Airport carpark only 10min walk
Found it very convenient as saved me time waiting for bus and taxi going home
Well worth the value if you get a good deal book in advance you won't regret it”
“It was a bit of a joke tbh. The email I got sent with my code on it didn’t explain how to use the barcode at all. When I collected my car there was absolutely nothing on the paying machine to accept this. Then when I got to the barrier to leave I had to press the intercom to get out the carpark itself. You would think the camera would recognise that I had already paid and would let me out the car park automatically? Or have somewhere to scan the barcode I had been sent by email!”
“This was the first time we have used Edinburgh Airport FastPark and it certainly won't be the last! The ease of parking and proximity to the terminal building were fantastic and the staff onhand to provide assistance were extremely helpful (even at 3.30 in the morning, lol!!) Our return to collect our vehicle was also very smooth, other than a bit of confusion with the exit barrier not recognising our number plate and the only way out was to take a ticket to raise the barrier, but other than that it meant we arrived home far quicker than using our normal parking facility (which involved waiting on bus transfers, often in cold or wet weather).”
“Overall fine but for second time on exit from medium term car park validity of booking not recognised by automatic system… had to speak over intercom. Car reg SP24 OMY”
“Easy and inexpensive only if you book in advance.
Signage directing to airport is terrible from the west. The slip road is unclear. This for our oversees visitors must improve”
“Parking in the multi storey was fine but I went to drop off my bags the night before and should have had free entry to the one hour car park. However at the barrier I was given a ticket and then the one hour park was closed and I couldn't get out until a bus driver told me to drive aroound the barrier but then I was left with an open ticket. I parked in the terminal car park and got another ticket but there is nobody to talk to explain. The machines at the mutli storey say speak to the intercom on the way out but I didn't want to do that in case I got stuck again. Fortunately soemone passing explained I could speak on the intercom and it was sorted out. I should have been informed in advance of any altrnative arrangements and it should be easier to find out how to speak to someone if you have a problem.”
