Poorly signposted back from the airport terminal. First (temporary) sign is some distance away.

Hello, Thank you for your review. I’m sorry to hear you found our wayfinding confusing. Clear signage is one of the most important things to have in any busy environment, but especially in an airport. Please be assured that we are actively working on our wayfinding strategy, and we will ensure feedback, like yours, is brought into the discussion. Kind regards, Rachael Customer Support Team

When we arrived home, we left the arrivals hall and automatically were outside heading for the taxi and buses pick, which was the way the process put you,we then had to turn right and go back over the road to the multi story car park. We feel it would have been more natural to leave arrivals under cover straight into the car park. Krakow which we had just left had this seemless approach unlike Edinburgh which looks very adhoc, claustrophobic and not up to the standard you would expect from a capital city. Edinburgh needs to look at how other airports flow in regards to departures and arrivals. On a positive there is plenty of on site parking close to the terminal.

I parked in Midpark for a long weekend. Easy to book and reasonably priced. Easy enter & exit from motorway. Signage when walking back to the carpark could be clearer, however the Lothian bus assistant pointed me in the right direction. Email instructions could be more detailed. E.g. take a ticket on entrance to car park which will be validated. My ticket didn’t pick up my registration therefore had to request assistance when exiting as was being charged again.

Arrived in the early morning. Dark, raining, wet, lakes of rainwater to plod through and a poorly signposted pedestrian route. The crossing areas were poorly lit. We’ve used the parking many times before and it was first class. This was barely acceptable, uncomfortable and verging on almost dangerous. Get those shuttle buses back on!!

The Long Stay was okay and the path to the terminal was clear enough. But we were flying out to a funeral, returning the next day. My wife had only one pair of shoes, and Sunday was a very wet day. She had no alternative but to walk through large puddles, and then sit with wet feet throughour t the flight.

Paid for 2 days parking online at the multistorey. Got back from trip and fed ticket into the machine that promptly told me I owed 114.00 GBP! I parked on the ground level after following the signs for the multistorey entrance. The guy on duty was kind enough to open the barrier when he found my booking and explained that the part I was in wasn't the multisorey! So what constitutes the multistorey of not its foundation? i.e the ground floor

Footpath to terminal incredibly poorly signposted. Confusion with “exit” signs - do they mean exit for cars from the carpark or for pedestrians going to the terminal? Car Exit very confusingly sign posted too - no coherent path to exit whatsoever. Other than that good, but a bit expensive.

Arrived at Edinburgh picked up our car on terminal parking went to exit with our ticket and on screen came up we were due £200 pressed the help button and gave my booking number and barrier opened.I had made a booking from the 9th till the 14th February on terminal parking and we were an hour earlier than the time of pick up I had paid for don't usually have this happen but it panicked me and my husband lucky I kept the reference number.

Easy to book! I am reluctant to give a score because some of my experience was excellent and the latter part, poor. The initial part, the parking and getting to the terminal was great. When I came back only one lift was working and that lift wouldn’t stop at level 3 where my car was. My flight was delayed, I’d been working for two days and was exhausted. I got out of the lift and tried the other lifts, but no response at all from them. So i decided to try again… and eventually decided to try floor 2&4. Amazingly, the lift stopped at these floors. So I opted for 4 and enhad to walk down a level, carrying my case…. I have arthritis so that’s why I opted for the expensive multi storey parking. Unbelievably when I tried to leave the machine told me I owed them £130….. so more delays. I contacted the assistance and after a lot of checking… I was told I could go, no explanation or apology. When I mentioned the lift issue, I was told it had been reported. But there was no sign displayed on the lift.. At night, on your own in the multi storey, it’s not reassuring if you’re unsure or things don’t work.

Ok for very early flight and return. Mid car parking is probably a 4 mins walk to departures if you’re a 25 year old big strided male with a small backpack. As a fifty something, short lady with mild asthma, backpack and small trolley it was easily double that, if not 10 mins. Still not terrible as it’s flat. Coming back out at night I couldn’t see signage that guided you back to my ‘mid’ car park. I took the general direction but ended going slightly off course and had to loop back in the dark. It took about 12-15 mins to get to my car out of breadth . It’s my first time using my car, so wouldn’t make the same error again, but signage coming out of arrivals to your specific car park area is poor and not a lot of folk around to ask very late at night, and easy to take a wrong turn in what u think is the right general direction, especially when older. Booking and gates worked well and no issues.

The actual parking convenience is fantastic however the exit from the car park is a nightmare. 4 barriers. 1 off. 3 with vehicles stuck there. Created lengthy queues and this was repeated over and over. It seemed that anyone who pre paid did not have their ticket recognised and there was a significant wait for the help on the intercom. If the exit process could be improved with ticket / number plate recognition then it would be perfect!

The parking is very convenient although the spaces at the terminal are tiny. Entry to the carpark works with the registration appearing on the ticket but my prepaid bookings never seem to work and I always end up stuck at the exit on the intercom asking to get out.

I wasn't exactly sure where I should be parking so I just paid at the meter.

Easy enough to find the carpark and a space to park. Found information that there was no transport to terminal but it was a relatively short walk. Didn't find the walking route particularly easy to find in the dark from where I hd parked but fortunately spotted people arriving back at their car to ask. Had booked and prepaid parking in advance so on arrivng back all I had to do was leave. Slight problem at the barrier when it told me I owed ~£95. Fortunately I was aware that this had happened to others so I knew what to do and the situation was easily remedied. Would use the carpark again if available next time I am travelling.

The walk from/to the Long Stay car park was much further than I had anticipated. I also felt that it was not sufficiently well signposted in either direction. Fortunately the weather was dry for each end of my journey

Hi there, Thank you for your review. Our car parks are signposted by wayfinding, located in key traffic areas. I’m sorry to hear that you found our wayfinding to be unhelpful. Please be assured that we are working hard to upgrade our wayfinding where required. Kind Regards, Customer Support Team

The parking itself is good but when we returned from Cyprus, it took over 2 hours for our luggage to come through. Because of this, we were charged a penalty of £15 as we were over the time we had originally booked for. Not impressed

Hi there, Thank you for the review. We strive to deliver a seamless journey to all of our passengers and I appreciate how frustrating the lengthy wait for your luggage must have been. The baggage delivery process is the responsibility of your airline and their contracted handling agent. I would encourage you to contact your airline as they will be able to investigate the matter with their handling agent and provide you with a full response. Kind Regards, Customer Support Team

Twice held up leaving the Surface Park with a demand for over £500 despite having pre-paid. Easily resolved. Fast Park more difficult. The locker code did not work and it took over 15 min to find someone who could retrieve my car keys.
