“I think it was very poor that I was impacted by the ATC / NATS issues earlier in the week, flight cancelled, and i hired a car to drive from Luton to Edinburgh and had to pay an additional parking charge of £15 on top of what i had already paid.”
“Not very easy to use.
Despite having a flight cancelled still had to pay an additional £25 to get my keys back. If that wasn’t bad enough had another £10 to pay at the exit gate. My understanding of the reason behind asking for return flight information was to keep track on flights. So why would I be asked to pay an additional £35 for not collecting my car on time due to a cancellation? Answer from a very unhelpful staff member was your flight was delayed, off course it was cause it was cancelled.”
“Yet again after a pre paid visit to Edinburgh Airport on exiting the system requested payment of £ 90.00, all because the new system installed cannot read correctly my registration details”
“1 The postcode is wrong and took me to cargo area or not good if you are not from Scotland 2. I have been offered discount on next booking but there is no such thing. Thx”
“Parking area needs to be properly surfaced. Potholes and stones everywhere. The Plane Parking bus service times should be more frequent - waited almost 25 minutes on Monday early hours for nus to arrive at terminal stop. Consider installation of a"next bus due in xx mintes" digital display at terminal stop and the plane Parking stops.”
“Since the new system has been installed my car registration is not recognised when i enter and exit the parking system, last Tuesday 01/09/2026, after booking via the Edinburgh Airport portal i was requested to pay £ 90 at the barrier, i am using the same car park tomorrow and will see what happens then”
“I have previously used prepaid parking with no issues. I thought it was excellent then. However, this time my car reg was not recognised on entry and I had to get assistance to enter. On leaving your machine did not recognise my car again and was asking me to pay £450. I had to get assistance again and even then the person did not recognise my number. I had to get my confirmation email before he would raise the barrier. It was very stressful after my flight.”
“Physical parking was good, closer than I expected and spots not too hard to find. The one way and blocked lanes weren't well designed and annoying having to reverse back when no spots available in that row. Also the licence plate recognition is terrible. Booked a week in advance and got stuck. Machine said take ticket, pushed button but nothing happened. Finally someone answered after having to call and rudely interrogated me about booking but eventually let the gate rise. Same thing when trying to leave, had to speak to someone. Not a good system.”
“Usually the parking is good but unfortunately it was a poor service at the pickup as some of the car keys were not in the machines. The staff had to search a box in the office for our keys which caused us a delay. The system was poor but as always the staff were very pleasant.”
“This would have been 5 stars right up until I arrived…as my flight was in the morning, I set off early incase I ran into the infamous M8 traffic…I arrived 50mins early however I was charged another 10% of my overall 2week fee for that additional hour…10% for arriving less than hour early…this is profiteering at its worst…& I won’t accept the additional resource/space required for me arriving early…
Secondly, the space my car was parked in was so tight..I could hardly squeeze in, they should have larger spaces for SUV’s…
Thirdly, my Lounge Pass wasn’t registered so I had to show all my p/work to the receptionist who eventually allowed me in…so overall, not a premium service & still disgusted with the additional charge for arriving an hour early”
“I booked and prepaid a parking space.
When I arrived, I had to find a space (no actual space is allocated when you book) and I couldn't get out of the car park because the machine at the barrier was asking me to pay!
Not a great experience.”
“Awful for FastPark - my cars window was jammed and the super unhelpful attendant kept shouting “push the button” instead of walking the 5 feet to do it to help. My wide door was scratched opening the door. Quite why the system can’t detect your car is there to scan it without relying on pushing a button is beyond me. Last time I use Fastpark”
“The parking itself was straightforward and the car parks are well maintained. When we drove to leave a bill of £340 came up even though we had pre paid. After speaking to an operator, they raised the barrier but we still do not know why it asked us to pay that sum when we left. It was quite stressful and it was in the small hours of the morning.
It is not clear on the website whether you should take a ticket when you enter if already prepaid, as the barrier raised for us. We took a ticket anyway. Please make it clear to customers whether they should take a ticket or not, and please explain and apologise to customers when mistakes are made.”
“Parking excellent, but unfortunatly the exit barrier wouldnt lift & demanded a £10 payment. Had to buzz the guard to let us out. Have used this parking 3 times & twice this has happened. Very poor.”
“Dropping off the car is quick and easy and the location to the departures terminal is ideal. However, leaving the carpark is extremely confusing. Myself and 2 other cars exiting at the same time as me all had issues finding the correct exit and subsequently I had to pay an additional £10 just to exit through the barrier with a queue forming behind me. This added stress to an otherwise easy and convenient service.”
“My car was parked almost as far away as possible from the key pick up point, then I got in to find the drivers seat / steering wheel position had been weirdly adjusted. Not great at 2.30am after a long delayed flight back.”
