Too long a walk- particularly in the rain. Why is there no bus? Never again.

Hi Archi, Our long stay shuttle bus was suspended in 2020. The car park is an approximate 12 minute walk to the terminal and we find it to be a manageable distance for most customers. Those who find the distance unmanageable can contact us directly to discuss how we can support them. The long stay car park is marketed as a facility that does not have a shuttle bus and this is confirmed on our website and booking confirmations. Kind regards, Customer Support Team

Great car park location and I paid upfront. When we got back we got charged £200. I asked an attendee if it was the right car park before we parked and he said yes. Bit disappointing to be told then receive the extra cost

The parking prices have gone up about threefold. This is shameless profiteering and a disgrace

I prebooked a week stay in the terminal carpark for £54. Arrived to find no spaces in the area I had booked, found space in an adjacent, cheaper car park. Signage was poor and very confusing. On leaving the ticket machine said we needed to pay £270! Only redeeming thing was that the man we spoke to at the ticket office did manage to find our booking and opened the gate for us. Not a pleasant experience.

Hi Jill, Thanks for your review. I’m sorry to hear that you found it difficult to find a space in our car park. If ever faced with the same problem in future, please ring the intercom at the exit barrier and our team will provide a suitable alternative. As you entered a different car park without letting us know and without a booking for that car park, the barriers were correctly attempting to charge you the roll-up rate. I'm glad the team were able to sort things for you before you left. Thanks, Customer Support Team

I booked Plane parking and was upgraded to Long stay. When I arrived there were no spaces- I drove round for 20 minutes before parking on the roadside- like lots of others. The car park was completely congested. There are no shuttle buses ( although there are bus stops) and the walk to the airport is not clearly signposted- definitely a full 10 minute walk with a suitcase. On exiting the airport again no clear sign posts back. I don’t think the number plate recognition was working as the barrier didn’t lift and when I put my ticket in, it wanted to charge me £120. First time using and the last.

disappointed. I booked online for an hour, thinking it would be cheaper. After all, I paid more than double.

Over priced how can you justify the charge? Greed I’m a frequent flyer and not just someone using the car perk once a year. I’ll be using another car park in future

About time you put the shuttle bus back on from long stay carpark . COVID on longer an excuse . And route from airport to long stay not properly signposted dangerous . Also charging to drop people off disgraceful ! Maybe Tesco should charge to go shopping . Your business is an airport so facilitie your customers

It has been a while since I travelled using Long Stay at Edinburgh. Booking process very easy There are not enough spaces and vehicles abandoned everywhere in Non-Spaces You now have to walk from there which is rubbish as the surface is very rough for case/trolley wheels. Plus it was raining. Obviously I didnt read closely enough that there is no longer a shuttle bus...

Terrible experience - booked a place in the long stay car park; very few spaces available and a lot of cars parked on top of kerbs at corners etc. But that wasn't the main problem; despite booking a place, I couldn't exit the car park upon return and had to pay £75 to get out....................won't be using this facility again!

I had pre-paid to park in plane parking. Drove up to the car park to find that it was closed (without any prior warning) and had to park in another car park. A “free upgrade” it said. Eventually found a space and left the car for 2 days. As expected, upon leaving, they tried to charge me £95!! Had to use the tannoy system to explain to someone otherwise I’d have been stuck and had to pay! Shambles!

My wife prebooked the multi story carpark for our weekend away to London and we were told that the machine would recognised the registration plate on arrival . This wasn't the case and after collecting a ticket we were charged a further 150 pounds on leaving the carpark . Terrible service and would not recommend!!!!

The airport parking itself is fine but I was charged over £80 for one night biked in advance. I used to pay around £33 for a few nights. When did your prices skyrocket? I have to take my car due to living in a rural location. It’s a complete rip off. How can £80 for one night be justified?

Ridiculous price we had to pay because Ryanair let us down and you ripped us off because it was last minute £97.00 for 4 days never use you again.

I had pre-booked parking at the long stay carpark. On arrival the gate didn't open so I used the call button to contact the operator. I confirmed my licence plate number but he couldn't find my booking, I gave him my booking reference and still nothing, my email address, still nothing. He then told me to press the button and take a ticket. Navigating through the carpark wasn't easy as there were lots of cars parked on double yellow lines and parked half-on, half-off the pavements. I did eventually find a legal space and parked. There are very few directional notices pointing the walkway to the terminal building. On return I retrieved my car and headed to the exit. Again I had to call for assistance as the barrier failed to open. Again I confirmed my licence plate number, booking reference and e-mail address and still he said he had no record of my booking. Eventually the barrier opened and I was free to travel home. To be fair on both entering an exciting I can't complain about the staff. However it appears there is something fundamentally wrong with the booking system when you see the number of cars parked outwith proper parking spaces. 3120 3382
