“The location was handy, finding a parking spot was not difficult and the bus connection to the airport terminal worked well. Entry and exit was a bit problematic, however. The system didn’t recognise my number plate as having pre-booked on entry or exit, and was looking for me to pay to exit (a three figure sum after a long weekend stay). A quick conversation with a member of staff over the intercom at the exit sorted it, but it was not smooth and the system didn’t work for me as promised.”
“Love this carpark. So easy to book, love the express check in prior to visit and ease of picking up keys and driving away
The staff on hand are always so friendly I always leave the building with a smile”
“Fast push is just so convenient and not really that much more expensive than the other options.
Only catch is you sometimes can't get through the final pushing barrier without having to ask for help so it would be good if they could fix that glitch.”
“We use Edinburgh airport parking when we fly , it's fairly reasonable
However the tarmac , signage and pedestrian ways continue to look delapidatednu clear and need upgrading”
“Parking using fast park could not have been easier. Staff on hand were knowledgeable and our car was waiting for us when we came back. First class service.”
“Overall, a very poor experience, especially on the return and exit process.
Drop-off was fairly easy and hassle-free, but better signage and easier access to trolleys would’ve really helped. We had multiple bags, toddlers in prams, and no staff available to help, which made getting everything to the airport much more difficult than it needed to be.
The most frustrating part was when we returned. We were suddenly charged an extra £25 with no clear explanation why, even though I had prepaid for the parking and had already provided my return flight details. We weren’t even particularly late collecting the car.
After that, we then had to try and work out a poorly handwritten lot number on the key tag. Thankfully there was a lady there trying to help everyone else read theirs too, which says a lot about the process itself.
Then when we finally found the car and tried to leave, the barrier showed a red warning. We had to press the help buzzer, were told to take a ticket, and then had to pay another £10 just to exit the car park.
Overall, a really frustrating experience in the middle of the night after travelling with young children. I won’t be using this parking again and would rather use one of the nearby operators instead.
To make things worse, the operator said the additional charges would be refunded, but there’s still been no acknowledgement or follow-up. I now need to spend more time figuring out how to claim it back and prove the charges, which luckily I kept the receipts for, and now have to wait to hear back.
It’s a shame that with all the price increases, such a basic process still can’t be run smoothly.”
“Good parking, but it would be better if there was a timetable for the shuttle bus to and from the plane Parking, or a tracker to let you know when the next shuttle will be”
“Considering that at least two of the car park’s levels were closed, and only spaces on the top non-enclosed level were available, it was way overpriced for just over 4 days for £117.
Otherwise, easy to find and less than a 5 minute walk to the terminal building.”
“Used Plane Parking (May 26) on this occasion. It's a LONG way from the terminal however the bus service is reasonably regular.
My only complaint would be that the parking area is not fully tarmac - the roadways are fine but the parking bays are only sharp stones and I would be concerned for the possibility of punctures. Also the bays are random, and not marked (due to the stone / gravel surface).
I like to be a little closer to the terminal so unless away for an extended period I would favour other areas.”
