“A week before I used the car park I changed the car reg number online. I've got a printout to prove it.
On arrival at the car park the barrier didn't open so I pushed the button, spoke to someone and got let in.
On arrival back at the car park it took a 12point turn to get out of the space because of rubbish parking by others.
When I got to the barrier it wouldn't open again. The screen wanted a week's wages to let me out.
With a queue building I pressed the button, the guy took ages to answer, was fairly unintelligible and brusque but eventually asked if I'd changed the reg no. I said yes, gave him the new one and he let me out.
Why can't you automatically update your database of reg numbers so the barriers work for motorists like they do at other airports?
I bet you don't respond to this.”
“Really handy car park and shuttle for Edinburgh airport. My only suggestion is for there to be some tarred pathways added at regular intervals between the car parking bays as you have to be extra careful navigating your way to and from the bus stop between all of the parked cars with large suitcases and I'm sure many cars could get scratched/bashed by the not so careful travellers that are in a rush. Thanks”
“Parking very good, plenty of spaces really close to terminal.
Updating the booking with a different registration number not so good.
Spoke to cs on arrival who advised they had now updated their records, on rerun I was asked for £570 for parking!!
Booking still hadn’t been updated even though it showed updated on my booking.”
“Good experience, no issues at all.
On arrival the system reads the registration and the barrier opens. It was easy to find a parking space and the airport entrance was just a few minutes walk. After our holiday we just walked back, jumped in the car and drove to the exit where the system checked the reg again and the barrier opened.”
“The parking at Edinburgh is not well sign posted with signs covered by overgrown shrubs resulting in a £8.50 fee for the drop off parking.
The colouring of the signs with writing on gold background does not make the signs easy to read in the dark.
The airport parking has a disgusting smell which lingered in my car for some time after leaving the parking.
The pedestrian return to the car park is not well sign posted. It does not appear that the terminal is connected to the car park with a walkway for leaving the terminal. There is a walkway for arriving at the airport that takes you to the priority queue jumping lane for security which does not seem to be well organised.”
“Stayed at the long stay near the terminal. Happy with booking process and entrance and exit went smoothly. I was only parked for just over an hour and charged £20 and this was the best value apparently for my needs. Too expensive.”
“Great parking experience. It was very easy to park and leave, and it's only a 1-minute walk to Edinburgh Airport. The location is convenient, making the whole journey quick and stress-free. I would definitely use it again.”
“Easy to find, signposted well, shame there is not bus any longer, as if it rains which is a high chance in a Scotland you are going to get wet walking to the terminal and the walkways though the carpark do have an issues with surface water collection areas after it has rained..
Cost is going up every year but nearly 20/30% which is an issue and it's not being maintained”
“Great we went to carpark told where to park left car went to machine and was so easy left keys went on hols can back found key box then found car quick would use them again”
“Simplicity in parking at an airport. Drive ip to barriers, get scanned, park in a lane, print kegfob ticket, lace in chute, enjoy your holiday.returning is easy scan your ticket puck key up from box go to car. Easiest parking ive done. Only 1 minute to departures”
