“Airport parking is often a necessary evil to holidays or business trips and if not booked well in advance, it gets so expensive for basically a bit of tarmac space. If you then arrive, and have to circle the car park forever to find parking and those rare spaces you find are unsuitable because you need to be able to open your child’s door, rushing for time at that stage, the holiday is not off to a great start. However, worse when you get back and have everything back in the car, arrive at the barrier, put your ticket in and are faced with an outstanding amount of £270?! How though? You pre booked and paid! So your heart sinks, you frantically try to find that email from 5 months ago or log into your account ….and there. You were right! It’s all booked! All clear. Yet you put the ticket in and the outstanding amount is glaring at you. What to do? Oh yes, there is a vague call button. Hardly there but there. You call. You tell them you have a valid ticket. They don’t respond but open the gate and let you out! Great but also … rude! An apology wouldn’t have gone amiss! How many people will have paid because of the pressure to get moving? Or being insecure and not finding that email confirmation or seeing that button? That is not acceptable!”
“Excellent system and very easy and stress-free way to leave your car at the airport. My only complaint would be that our booking didn't seem to link up with our ticket for entry, as when we left the carpark at the late hours of the night, I was asked to pay an extortionate fee (despite prepayment booking). I had to use the intercom system to get assistance but eventually was able to get out of the car park.”
“I booked it advance and paid £45. When I turned up the barrier didn’t recognise the car and had to take a ticket to get in. Upon exiting it demanded £140 to get out so I’ve paid twice. So yeah I’m thrilled.”
“As always, the Mid Stay car park is easy to book, easy to get in and out of and only a shortish walk from the terminal. Having used it a number of times in the past, it's still the one I'm most likely to use in future.”
“The car park is only a 10 min walk from the terminal, managed to get a parking spot quickly after arrival. On return and trying to exit the car park I inserted my ticket into the machine and it said I had an outstanding balance of £180!! The intercom to talk to an agent were not well marked and visible and it took time to locate it. the agent I spoke to quickly resolved the issue and explained the camera probably could not read my number plate correctly. After confirming my details I was able to leave without any further charges.”
“Good availability of spaces, no trolleys, you have to pay £2 for them, absolutely ridiculous. I fly all over Europe and the uae and are never charged, if you look at the trolleys in the arrivals hall, they all look brand new and unused.”
