“When we Google maped where the carpak was it sent us to the big carpark within walking distance of the Airport, I had travelled with friends a few years ago and did not think it was correct (as we had to get a bus) we went to the other carpark next to the roundabout and stopped at the barrier, I asked one of the staff and he advised us to go back to the first park. When we returned to Edinburgh at 1am and got to the gate we were told it was £265 charge..... Even though we had prepaid for our parking. We had our very tired autistic son with us, and my very tired wife. I contacted your team and had to go through a whole inqusision and to be told there would be a surcharge. after some discussion he decided to waver the Fee. But to be Honest I would have Refused to pay it and Taken this to court, I have dashcam too. Please put better signage, all that stress was not needed before a 3 hour drive after such a long Journey. And I will add after a tetchy start your Rep was fair.”
“This was the easiest thing ever!!!!! I would absolutely use this service again, drive in drop of keys walk 1 minute into terminal! Fantastic.
Thank you Marie x”
“Entry barriers to the main terminal car park were broken when I arrived. I had to park out past the Car Hire Centre - further than the Medium Term Car Park! Not a great experience.”
“All went well till the pick up, turns out we weren’t given a receipt at the drop off, the member of staff at this time took our key and offered to deal with it for us, upon return we had to guess which colour section our key was in…Regards M”
“Top tip: Make sure you research carpark pricing before you go!
There is a huge variety of parking at Edinburgh Airport; we have visited and parked in various different places. I find it generally best to book directly with the airport. The long stay plane parking is easy to access and the buses very straightforward to and from the terminal building (speaking from experience - do remember to clock the exact location of your car!).
However, when parking at the terminal itself to pick someone up, be careful! I pulled up ready to park in the ‘terminal’ building, a sign at the barrier implied it was full and directed me to the multi-storey. DO NOT PARK IN THE MULTI ATOREY! I ended up paying £30 for half an hour’s parking. The terminal parking is pricey but reasonable so long as you don’t end up staying for too long.”
