I booked a weeks parking, leaving at 0430 on a Saturday, returning at 2000 the following Saturday. The cost was £44.99. My return flight was delayed by 3 hours and I was charged £9.90 late parking penalty. Had I booked my exit time to be 2300, I would have been charged the same £44.99 and not been charged the late exit penalty. This airport will rip you off at the slightest excuse and take advantage of events outwith your control e.g. late arrivals. I gave them my honest expected exit time (2000). Their actions show that I should have booked until the latest possible time that date i.e. 2330 to avoid this opportunistic and disingenuous surcharge. Customer care? None. But regular users of the airport will be all too familiar with this type of thing. Need a taxi late? Just queue for an hour in the cold....

Pretty poor show; stuck in the Stansted shambles and didn't make it back north until Saturday lunchtime. £50 surcharge to get the car back. EDI parking must have done very well out of the late cohort from Stansted.

I prepaid for a week yet when I left the car park I was charged an additional £14. The car park is also not suitable for large cars as there is not enough room to get into the spaces. Taxis also race through the car park making it very dangerous for children and when manoeuvring Tolley’s and bags etc.

This is the second time I have parked there and both time been a nightmare at the exit I have put the ticket in to go out and the machine ask me to pay £140,and I was panicking because I paid in front online for the days I stayed but I maneged to phone the office from the barrier I went into my emails and give him the reference number and him let me go,but shouldn’t be like that you paying for a service not to be shocked on your way out

The barrier read my car registration wrong. As a result when I put the ticket (containing the wrong registration in) the barrier refused to let my car out. There was no assistance button at the barrier. As a result I had to ask other cars to reverse so I in turn could reverse out the way, before we could call someone for help.

Horrible experience. My flight was cancelled because of the strike in Paris on 22 March. I was given two different answers as to why I couldn't have a refund. The first excuse was because it was more than 14 days after booking, the second excuse because it was less than 24 hours before departure. Not helpful at all and I'll make sure in the future not to use the parking again.

Paid up front for reserved parking and charged an additional £130 on leaving. I phoned last Friday (the day after) and told I would get an email explaining how to progress a refund. I have still to hear back.

the car park has no cameras to recognise vehicles (unlike most other longer stay car parks) and it states it does have when you book online. So, it is confusing when the barrier does not lift, then you then have to take a ticket? so, when you go up to barrier at end of stay it charges you the ticket price. In my case £220. So you then have to press button at barrier, and verbally communicate the reference code I was ready for this, as i was not convinced by entry situation, and found a blog which confirmed that the above would result pathetic. and do not get me started on baggage these days at edinburgh airport. The last 2 occasions have resulted in half hour waits for baggage. None of the above is acceptable Should anyone at EDI wish to contact to explain the above debacle(s) my number is 07711921903 (Kevin Robertson)

I had already pre paid my parking oline, once I returned from my trip I tried to leave the car park and was then forced to pay another £28 pounds on top of what I had already paid for the 5 days.

Our flight had been changed for return flight meaning we were 3 hours later than what was departure time on booking, we were Charged £14.75 for this (nearly £5 per hour). There was no come or go with operator that you had to speak through intercom to, this is ridiculous! wont be using again

When we were at the exit, inserted the parking ticket - already prepaid - the display requested an outstanding payment of £170.00. We retrieved our paperwork, spoke to the attendant, who confirm we had prepaid and allow us to exit. This was a good response but very concerning this happened.

After paying over £40 for a 3 day parking stay, I was charged an additional £10 on exiting the car park. Complete rip off.

went the ticket machine and was going to be charged £90 despite paying up front, so pressed help button for help who told me to go to the barrier and press again. Spent 7 minutes at the barrier explaining the situation and giving the reference number etc for the barrier to be raised. Would expect with the Automatic Number Plate Recognition the experience should be seamless since you ask for my numberplate in advance but alas not to be.

Due to traffic delays around the airport I arrived later than planned and didn't / couldn't use the prepaid parking facility in long stay and used the fast track parking in the multi storey car park instead. Having already paid £25.99 for the long stay facility and not being able to use it I then had to pay an additional £110 for the multi storey parking. When I tried to cancel and have the long stay cost (£25.99) refunded or at least used towards the cost of the multi storey parking I got a rather flat, disinterested, unhelpful, soulless response of "under the terms and conditions" reply from Bob using the on-line chat. Transcript ID: TqNVBZnkbdLslJiU0T1JC0P07TEB6jr2. I would have thought under the circumstances cancellation of the long stay and refund to wards the higher cost would have been possible.

You are exploiting a monopoly situation - I know you will not share this review as it is negative. I prepaid £35 for weekend parking to visit my daughter in London. Return flight delayed a couple of hours due to de-icing at Heathrow - when trying to leave the exit barrier machine demanded another £9, pro-rata we'd only stayed 2% longer, so why do want another 25% more money?! The fee should be no more than a pound extra? Plus no-one answered the buzzer when I enquired this and I was blocking the exit. So had to quickly return to the payment booth and pay to escape. As I say at the start - typical rip-off-Britain, exploit your monopoly if you are lucky enough to have one. Unfortunately the Taxi service is so poor late at night we have to use the car.

After returning from my trip I discovered I had accidentally selected the return date as the Friday instead of the Saturday. The one extra day cost me more than the entire week booking. This is outrageous and I feel completely ripped off. An honest mistake and I paid the price but believe that your policy as a huge let down

Was lucky to find the entrance to the outside car park. Got a ticket which had my number wrong it had Ann instead of aan. Asked to pay an extra £9 something at the gate. I thought booking was necessary and was unsure how long it would take me to make sure my 16 year old Grandaughter would take to check in and booked an hour and a half at £39 + Was in and out in under one hour. Your online page is not clear at all. I won’t be back. Even this small reply area is disgraceful.

So I had booking for the long stay car park from the 2nd March to the 16th March but as the major snow storm came in and I have a 2 year old child I tried calling on a vast amount of times to change the booking to the Multi Story car park. Sent emails and also tried various other number. I ended up having to pay full price for the multi story and am no out of pocket for the original booking that was never used
