“Used Plane Parking at end of May this year.
No problem booking online etc.
Went through barriers into designated part of airport as per instructions. The only thing omitted from our instructions was to press intercom button on entry barrier and give our refence number ,so we could receive further instructions ,such as where the Plane parking kiosk was located.
SCENARIO, arrive at airport early morning with two young children parked in carpark with no other directions on printed sheet. Wife walking round asking men in high viz jackets for assistance. Wife eventually found said kiosk after 10 minutes.
First time we have flown from Edinburgh .Will use airport again. Plane Parking not so good .”
“I use various car parks at Edinburgh airport regularly. I used the mid stay car park for the first time recently and was not impressed.
I had booked in advance and my number plate was not recognised when I tried to enter the car park.
It was a wet day and the extremely poor signage directing the walk to the terminal building meant I got even wetter than was necessary.
I went to the security area for cabin crew to ask directions and they were rude and borderline aggressive towards me.
When I returned home again I encountered other passengers finding they were unsure how to get to the terminal building.
This is unfortunate as I think Edinburgh has one of best airports in the UK and recent developments at the airport are generally to be applauded
Please improve the signage and, given the Scottish weather, a covered walkway would be appreciated”
“After parking my car I went to the nearest shelter, number 6, and waited for a bus to collect me. Only after some time and the advice of a departing motorist was I told to go to shelter number 4. The returning bus also deposited me at shelter 4 leaving me with the long walk to my car beside shelter 6. Perhaps a notice should be displayed at each shelter telling customers where to go to be picked up”
