Was deeply upset when I returned after paying online 3 days before I left for mid-stay car park and then after 3 days away came back and was not let out until I paid a further £110.00

Drive up to the barriers and the ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) system will read your vehicle registration number and automatically issue you with a ticket. The ticket will show your vehicle registration number, and this will correspond to the booking details we have for you on our system. It does not work. I bought ticket online for three days. When arrived system could not recognise my number plates and I have been charged additional £95 pound. I spoken to guy and he says that cannot see my registration numbers. So be aware of that.

Thank you for your review. We always encourage passengers to pre-book parking. We offer car parking pricing for 2 years in advance for different lengths of stay. Our pricing is dynamic and continually changes based on many different factors such as demand, occupancy and lead time making it possible for the pricing to change from booking to booking however, we offer competitive pricing against other providers. My partner and I nearly missed our flight because of poorly labelled parking signs. We had paid for plane parking (which was shut) and were trying to get into the car park for ages. After about 40 mins of trying to find the right car park we ended up having to go into long stay parking. This information should be published online but it is not. Poor communication/signposting.

Thank you for your review. I can confirm you were upgraded to the long stay car park and directions can be found within the confirmation. Kind regards, Customer Support Team

I originally paid for parking at "plane parking" which is situated close to the airport entrance. Within my booking confirmation e-mail I was advised that I had a "free upgrade to long stay" which is a further away car park on foot and the e-mail further read that there were no shuttle buses. Resulting in myself and my elderly mother having to carry all bags and a 23kg suitcase for 10 minutes from the car to the airport entrance. This was a major inconvenience and to say this was a "free upgrade" is ridiculous.

Thank you for your review. I can confirm it is stated on our website that our plane parking is closed. This will be reopening at the start of April. Kind regards, Customer Support Team

Thank you for your review. I’m sorry to hear you found our wayfinding unhelpful. Clear signage is one of the most important things to have in any busy environment, but especially in an airport. Please be assured that we are actively working on our wayfinding strategy, and we will ensure feedback, like yours, is brought into the discussion. Kind regards, Customer Support Team

Turned up at carpark and was told had to book 2 hours in advance. This was showing £46.99 for a week. Spent £20!!!....yep £20 to book 3 hours and then book online. Once through online price changed to £110!!.....no idea why. So all in nearly £130 to park the car for 1 week. Total rip-off, Felt like I was being robbed because I had limited options. I hate it when companies apply the "Rip you off model"

Thank you for your review. We offer car parking pricing for 2 years in advance for different lengths of stay. Our pricing is dynamic and continually changes based on many different factors such as demand, occupancy and lead time making it possible for the pricing to change from booking to booking. As our parking does not have a fixed rate (unless you roll-up, which is considerably more expensive that pre-booked) that means it's dynamic and can change based on the factors stated. Our pricing structure and calculation method is not dissimilar to that of many other businesses and airports. Kind Regards, Customer Support Team

Parking was as expected. It’s a 5 minute walk rather than a 12 minute walk. What wasn’t expected was a £4 charge for 4 minutes dropping off my pregnant wife in the drop off area seen as it says a 12 minute walk. Absolute daylight robbery I am afraid and I won’t be using Edinburgh Airport parking again because of that fact.

Thank you for your review. I understand the frustration caused by the price harmonisation within our pick-up and drop-off area and we know that this change will not be welcomed by everyone. With passenger numbers down 91% on last year and not expected to recover until 2022 at the earliest, a crucial part of the recovery will be remaining competitive to attract airlines and routes – and save as many jobs as possible going forward. The changes that have been introduced will increase revenue and assist the airport in finding a balance to remain competitive to deliver and preserve connectivity to and from Scotland. Though drop-off fee has risen to £4, the allotted time has been doubled to 10 minutes and it's worth noting that we still have our free drop-off area which is located within the Long Stay Car Park and can be accessed for 30 minutes without charge. If you’d like to find out more information, the full press release can be found here: https://corporate.edinburghairport.com/media-centre/news-releases/changes-to-airport-forecourt Kind Regards, Customer Support Team

I paid for the Long Stay Carpark for a long weekend holiday, it was my first time using the parking service at Edinburgh Airport. I returned to my car having been damaged (a long scratch right along the passenger side affecting every panel). The Airport Parking team advised me to contact the police so they could check the CCTV. After a two week wait, I have been informed by the police that the only CCTV in the car park covers entering and exiting the car park. There was no CCTV covering the area where my car was parked and Edinburgh Airport are refusing liability of the damage that occurred whilst on their premises. The “24/7 security” and “secure parking” advertised upon purchasing the parking on the Edinburgh Airport website, I assumed meant the whole carpark was covered by CCTV. Beyond disappointed and upset that I’m now left with this damage and expense after trusting this service. You’re website should be more clear around what CCTV and security you offer within your services.

Very disappointed with the experience, to begin with the long term parking is not very well sign posted and it did not have a shuttle bus to the terminal. Our flight was delayed by RYANAIR and as a result we arrived home 7 hours later than anticipated, there was no way to extend our parking in advance and this cost us £16, this equated to half the cost of the weeks parking that we had already paid for!

Thank you for your review. I’m sorry to hear you found our wayfinding confusing. Clear signage is one of the most important things to have in any busy environment, but especially in an airport. Please be assured that we are actively working on our wayfinding strategy, and we will ensure feedback, like yours, is brought into the discussion. Our long stay shuttle bus was suspended in 2020. The car park is an approximate 12 minute walk to the terminal and we find it to be a manageable distance for most customers. Those who find the distance unmanageable can contact us directly to discuss how we can support them. The long stay car park is marketed as a facility that does not have a shuttle bus and this is confirmed on our website and booking confirmations. Kind regards, Customer Support Team

Parking was good and my car was safe during the time out of the country however when leaving the car park I have damaged my alloy due to a pot hole at the exit of the car park. I am unsure at this stage at the event of the drama ge but I will not be parking here again due to the damage caused to my vehicle.

Scam. Paid for parking online, and on the way out it asked me to pay £227 at the exit. Had to use the help desk which they stated I’d paid and they lifted the barrier. However the EXACT same thing happened to my uncle last year. How many innocent people will just pay the money.

Thank you for your review. It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit. This doesn't happen often but when it does, I understand the frustration that it causes. Kind regards, Customer Support Team

At the end of our stay we were asked to pay an extra £360 for our 7 day stay. As we were well within the time of our pre paid stay and departure this was a bit of a shock but after haggling with an attendant over the inter come we eventually were free to leave. This isn’t a one off as our son in law faced a simple situation just two weeks ago. As there is something obviously wrong within the system I wonder how many others have had the same problem,

I made a pre-booking for long stay car park from 27.1.2023 to 29.1.2023 and paid the fees of £25.99. Order ID: OE2MD3OTL, Car Reg No: SK66YDH However, on exit, when I inserted the ticket in the machine, it asked me to pay another amount of £40. Due to the long line of cars behind me I paid this amount to exit. Kindly look into this and reimburse this amount

The blue ticket machine was broken when we arrived back at Fast Park. It took an extra half hour for an operator to find which box our key was in then open the box manually. To add insult to injury we then could not exit the car park without paying an extra £4 presumably due to the delay in getting our key. No explanation and no way to contact an operator. The technology is not fir for purpose.

I used it to book two cars in 6-14 January and 6-27 January. Fortunately the second vehicle parked was recovered without incident but the first vehicle was so badly damaged whilst in the care of Fastpark it had to be towed home . The repairs and tow cost almost £1000 and I believe there is a current complaint lodged by my daughter re this problem.
