“Booked for main car park IT WAS FULL your advertisement ;2 min walk, Usane Bolt could not have made from where we had to park in the overflow ,this after paying £15 more than the long stay. Not impressed.”
“The car park was full. We arrived at Midday on Wed 16th May having pre booked Short Stay ground level parking. After 20 mins driving round we then left the car outwith a bay.
Not acceptable.”
“Long stay car park was full and utterly disorganised despite being there two hours before flight. We were offered surface parking which was also nearly full. On exiting the surface car park, despite being told to park there, the barrier requested £150 to be paid. Whilst this was quickly sorted out, I had to fumble around to get the booking reference for my parking which should have been easily attainable by the assisting member of staff. Overall, a calamitous experience start to finish - will not bother using Edinburgh parking again!”
“Took almost an hour to get out of the parking area because of congestion at the "Double Trees"? roundabout within the airport. IF I use the airport again I will NOT park there.”
“Dreadful experience...spoilt the end of our holiday. Dropping the car off was not easy as there were very few parking spaces despite us pre booking.....however we managed. On our return the car park was absolutely grid-locked....we think it was mainly due to the taxi drivers who were rude and belligerent and threatening. There were at least 6 lanes of cars...if not more...being channeled into one lane. When we first returned to our car we sat for about 45 minutes without moving...then we were able to inch forward and it took us about 90 minutes in total to exit the car park. There was no one directing the traffic and it was a scene of complete chaos. We will do all possible to never have to travel from Edinburgh airport again.”
“£100 for just under three days parking in the mid stay car park is not value for money in any way , not everyone can book in advance ,it would be cheaper to get a taxi ,was disgusted at the price, the long stay car park had a queue as the barrier was not working or something but having looked at the prices that is not much better”
“Drove around for at least 30 minutes looking for a parking space. Thought we were going to miss our flight. We then saw a parking attendant who told us to go into the pick up area to park. Had we not seen him we would have missed our holiday. This was pre booked so why were there no spaces available. There were at least ten other cars going round in circles looking for a space. I won’t use this car park ever again.”
“When I arrived at the long stay car park there were no spaces with many cars parked on double yellow lines. It took me a considerable time to drive round until I finally found a space. It is essential that a long stay car park is large enough so that there is some redundancy and you can be guaranteed a space especially when you have paid in advance.”
“Booked long term parking with bus transfer to terminal but when we arrived long term obviously full and was “upgraded” to mid term to find no bus transfer and we had to walk to terminal! Thiswe found infuriating because I find it hard to walk distances due to a disability!!will not be booking with yourselves again!”
“The buses from the Long Stay just aren't frequent enough and so in all honesty I ended up walking to the terminal. Then upon my return because there were cars parked illegally on double yellow lines I could barely get out of my parking space. In all honesty this really wasn't good enough.”
“Shockingly bad service. Had booked on line only to be told, when I arrived , that the car park was full !!!
Eventually was allowed entry on condition that I didn’t block anyone in.
On leaving the site a week later the system wanted £170 to let me out.”
“Hello,
I paid for parking for 1 day online.
I left my car for an employee of mine... the car was picked up within the 24 hour period i paid for and my employee was charged £50.00 to exit the carpark.
How does that work?”
“I had an issue at the airport and couldn't fly, so I left the parking lot approximately 1 hour after arriving. Edinburgh airport parking refused to give me a refund and didn't even offer me any compensation or discount for future use. I will not use Edinburgh airport parking again, nor would I recommend it to anyone else.”
